Upon my travels this morning, I managed to scored some of the figures from the newest Clone Wars wave at Walmart. I missed out on Savage Opress but did pick up Chewbacca, Even Piell, Jar Jar Binks, R7-D4 and the new, and much-improved, Captain Rex.
The crew over at BanthaSkull.com have posted a new list of Target DPCIs taking us from now through the first part of 2012. Head on over for the breakdown.
UPDATE: I hit up my local Target today to check out the new DPCIs and grab their corresponding prices:
The Star Wars toy finds continue as exclusives and non-exclusives keep appearing at K-Mart, Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target! Listen to this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast as Marjorie and Arnie run down their store finds, and play your voicemails reporting what Star Wars Action News listeners have been finding, buying, and what they think of it!
Also this week, Star Wars Action News Book Club liaison Brock reviews the new Timothy Zahn novel Choices of One, Marjorie reviews the new Jedi Force figures, and Garmin uses the Force to help you find your destination! All this and more on this week’s Star Wars Action News!
Our friends at JediDefender are reporting that the new Toys”R”Us exclusive Video Game Figure Sets (The Force Unleashed and Republic Commando) have hit stores in California. Head on over for an in-hand photo and keep and eye out in those aisles!
Target is resetting their aisle this week and in order to clear out existing product, they are quietly clearancing the previous DPCI/SKU (087-06-1402) for the Deluxe Vehicle with Figure sets to make way for the new Class I/Rapid Strike Vehicle DPCI/SKU. Last night I found the Y-Wing Scout Bomber and Republic Scout Speeder for $5.08 a pieces while their case mates – the Naboo Skiff and Cad Bane Speeder Bike (in new packaging) rang out at full price. It might be worth a trip to the Price Scanner to see if your store is doing the same thing!
Our friend Dan at swcollector.com sends in a report that he found the Toys”R”Us exclusive Stealth Ops Clone Trooper, Deluxe Rebel Transport Speeder and Geonosian Speeder along with the AV-7 at his store today. Great news for those waiting for new product to hit the shelves!
SDCC-time always seems to kick off the release of new product at retail as another local collector posted at JediDefender that the Blu-Ray Commemorative Sets (DPCI: 087-06-1831) have also hit Target stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and are priced at $24.99 each.
UPDATE: These are now in-stock at our sponsor Entertainment Earth.
I’ve read a report from a local collector friend, “Bob Dylan SW fan”, that the Clone Wars Republic Attack Shuttle has hit retail at Target and is priced at $79.99 (087-06-1822). Also, large quantities of Vintage wave 7 have hit several Target stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. But, for me the hunt continues….
