I popped in to my local Go! Calendars store today per their notification that they received a shipment of the Legacy Collection Droid Factory figures. There are some new facts for those interested regarding this bizarre line. Click on through for the details.

Jedi Temple Archives is looking to help collectors out there fill a few holes in their collection. Paul has posted a partial list of carded and loose figures and vehicles with the promise of more to come. If anything jumps at you don’t hesitate to contact them as everything is on a first come, first served basis. A lot of TVC and Legacy Collection figures as well as a large range of product from The Clone Wars can be had – if The Price is Right™. Click on over to check it out.
While shooting the latest batch of images for the toyguide, I decided to recreate the infamous “sandstorm” scene using the new Blu-ray deleted scene figures (Lando and Leia) as well as the previous Tatooine Sandstorm figures (Han, Luke and Chewbacca) from the Legacy Collection. It also gave me an excuse to finally open up my BMF! The scene above was recreated using a simple tan bath towel for the desert floor and some minimal Photoshop work. Click the preview above for a closer look and be sure to check out master diorama builder Stephen Hayford’s impressive recreation over at the Official Star Wars Blog.
Whilst hunting for new Vintage figures today (yeah, right) I did stumble across a few deals at a local K-mart store. A few of the Clone Wars Deluxe Figure/Vehicle sets were marked down to $6.00 each as well as a couple of Legacy Battle Packs, namely the Gelagrub patrol for $9. Your local experience may vary but if you’re out and about it might be worth a stop.
Slowly but surely, we are getting the older sections of the Toyguide back online after being disabled since the server switchover. Now for your review, I’ve activated the basic figures 2008-2009 (blue) and 2009-2010 (red) Legacy Collection sections. There may be a couple wonky links here and there but those will be worked out soon.
Thanks to all who’ve emailed asking about the status of the Toyguide, this section in particular.
No, they’re no leaving Target’s aisle yet, especially at this new price. As reported by our friends at Jedi Temple Archives, I too ran into the $16.29 Geonosis Arena Sets (previously $12.99) at my local MN Target. As a consolation, both Clone Wars Geonosis 2-packs were marked down to $11. Hey, let’s keep a little optimism here. : )
