Toys”R”us Wave 4 Sightings

blackseries

With the new Toys”R”us reset, obviously most of us are hoping this means better things for the collector lineup’s distribution.  Today I came across some Wave 4 figures for the first time at a Toys”R”us; which was a sight for sore eyes.

Now is the time to start getting back to the hunt, but as always these days, your chances of success on toy runs are not what they used to be… but perhaps things may be back on the upswing?

UPDATE: TRU Exclusive Jedi Reveal Release Imminent

jedireveal_tag

Check out my local TRU today to see if they refreshed their stock of merchandise* and I was surprised find shelf tags the Star Wars Rebels Jedi Reveal Mission Series set.

*Another interesting observation, this particular store killed the entire new set up for the Star Wars line and went back to having 2 standard aisle for product. Weird.

UPDATE: ToysRUs.ca has this set up for preorder now with a 10/17 release date.

Rebels Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Prototype Loose In-Hand Pics

TIE

Forum member Grimace has shared several pics of Hasbro’s new Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Prototype in the forums.  It looks to me like Hasbro has hit another home run here, meaning all three of the new Rebels mid-size vehicles surpass most of Hasbro’s other recent efforts.  Head on over to the forums for a closer look, and to share your thoughts.

Rebels Vehicles: Loose In-Hand Pics

It’s been quite some time since collectors have had much to get excited about when it comes to  Hasbro’s vehicle offerings.  But that may change with the new assortment just now starting to hit from the Rebels line.   I really don’t think my pics do these things justice, but I do believe these vehicles are worth every penny!  For a better look, head on over to the forums!

Rebels Vehicles Hit Retail

rebelships

With just a couple minutes to spare for a quick toy run to Toys”R”us today, I stumbled upon something not seen in quite some time by my weary eyes – 3.75″ scale vehicles worth picking up!   Head on over to the forums for a closer look.

Personal Note:  Priced at $22.99 each, these “mid-size” vehicles offer not only all-new sculpts, but are pretty well made too.  No, they’re not Hasbro’s finest achievement but for what the retailers are charging, it seems like a very fair deal.  These are light years better than all the Jedi Starfighters Hasbro’s been trying to force down our throats for years.  I’ll be getting pics posted of them “loose” as soon as I can, and I can already say I want at least two more walkers.  BTW, my son loves these.

Is Anything Actually Selling at Retail?

blunder

Pretty much anywhere you go these days that has put out Hasbro’s latest Star Wars merchandise, you see the same thing.  Pegs of Command Series not selling, Hero Series X-Wings begging to be purchased, etc.  Very little of anything targeted at the kids is actually moving; which most collectors predicted as soon as we saw what Hasbro had planned for this Fall.  The only thing really moving out of the “new” stuff is the 6″ scale Jabba and Biker Scout.

I spoke with a Toys”R”us employee today who echoed the exact same sentiments that we are all saying here – the items Hasbro is making simply are not what the Star Wars market wants to spend money on and he sees it first-hand every day.  The customers are looking, but are walking away empty-handed.  Head on over to the forums to see what he had to say.
