Class II Vehicles at Toys”R”us

020513yak2

The 2013 shrunken down “mid-sized” vehicles have begun to show up at Toys”R”us stores and I came across them today in the St. Louis area.  They are priced at $21.99.

Not a bad price, but personally it’s hard to get excited by smaller versions of vehicles that we already have… I’d like for Hasbro to realize that much of the problem with the 2012 mid-sized vehicle failure wasn’t the price, it was that everyone already had the vehicles they were trying to push… but enough of the rant, good luck on those toy runs if you’re looking for these!

Customizer Mega Spotlight

Yakface forum members continue to pump out amazing custom work – now’s the time for a long overdue spotlight!

First up, forum member darth naes has updated Hasbro’s Nom Anor figure with a much more menacing look – check it out and his latest customs here.

We’ve also got a great update by WookieBalls, who has created the ultimate Leebo figure, and much more!  You will want to head on over to his custom thread and enjoy the latest customs he’s shared with us too.

Next up, forum member Stronox will blow your socks off with his take on Darth Traya from the KOTOR series.

Finally, if you’re looking to add a bit of variety to the armor your Gamorreans sport, head on over to my customs thread and check out a way to make some different helmets for your TVC pigs.

Have you received your Jocasta Nu yet?

For several weeks it seems, I have watched in envy as other collectors have shown off their very cool Jocasta Nu figure from Brianstoys… I mean heck, I ordered mine back on July 20, so what’s the deal?

Thanks to a prompt from forum member Grimace, I went ahead and emailed their customer service just a few days ago – and magically my order arrived today.

Coincidence?  I think not.  So if you’re been sitting around waiting on your order since last summer, it may worth a moment to send them a kind email inquiring about your order.  But remember, be nice.  Rudeness gets you nowhere.

The Enloe Trials: 2012 Roundup

This past year saw a return to the photonovel realm for Rykrof Enloe, with The Enloe Trials photonovel series.  I really didn’t think after taking a year off from these things that I’d find it in myself to come back, but thanks to a lot of encouragement from our forum members, I decided to launch a new series for Rykrof propelling him toward the events of the Original Trilogy.

Things kicked off back in February with The Baron’s Crusade; the prologue to this new series.  In it, Imperial Baron Tylin Gere has begun a personal quest to acquire an ancient Sith artifact, and will stop at nothing to acquire it.

Soon after, Emperor Palpatine informs Darth Vader of the rogue actions of Tylin Gere in Seeds of Insurrection.   Meanwhile, former Jedi Master Kala Mly Shundi contacts Rykrof Enloe on Urelia in an attempt to persuade Rykrof to join a small but growing rebellion against the Empire.

It isn’t long before Imperial troops arrive at Rykrof’s home, sent by none other than Tylin Gere.  In this chapter, Atrocity, Rykrof loses his father, and is forced to work for Tylin if he ever wants to see his wife or son alive again.

Thank you to everyone who has helped support this series (you know who you are), as the photonovel craze from several years ago has died down significantly across the Star Wars boards everywhere.  But in 2013, more exiting adventures are in store for Rykrof Enloe — so stay tuned for more action as the year progresses!

I’d also like to throw a shout out to our friends at Jeditemplearchives for their support too!
