Hasbro revealed several new Black Series and Vintage Collection items at this year’s MCM Comic Con in London. Click on through to check out the announcements and watch for preorders starting next week.
Vintage Collection
Count Dooku (VC307), Finn (VC308), Phase I Clone Trooper (VC309)
These 3 figures are part of a four figure fan channel only wave that includes the Captain Cassian Andor figure revealed yesterday. Preorders start Mon. Oct. 30 at 1pm ET.
Vintage Collection – Pipeline Reveals
Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Zeb Orrelios
These 3 shared fan channel figures capitalize on the tooling funded by the Haslab The Ghost to bring alternative looks from earlier Star Wars Rebels seasons into the line, keeping the unique figures and cardbacks to the Haslab release.
Hasbro Pulse / ShopDisney split distribution for the Captain Enoch and Nighttroopers pack which should be similar to other 4 packs offered previously. Let’s just hope we get these figures on individual cards down the line as well because relegating them to a windowless box seems cruel for these highly requested troopers of Thrawn.
The Black Series
Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine) and Padme Amidala (Queen Decoy)
Mural packaging Jar Jar finally has some company on the shelf as the Black Series figure reveals showcase two previous pipeline announcements: Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala from The Phantom Menace are part of a series of prequel themed, shared fan channel releases. Preorders should open starting Monday, Oct. 30.
Switching gears to role play, the pipelined Black Series Carson Teva helmet got a full reveal. This shared fan channel release will be available for preorder on Monday, Oct. 30 as well.
The Black Series – Pipeline Reveals
Black Series came to play with their pipeline reveals as they not only dipped again into the prequel era but Legends/Expanded Universe as well. Hasbro Pulse / ShopDisney have joint custody of a two pack featuring a Phase II Clone Trooper and B1 Battle Droid, a fan channel exclusive Darth Sidious from Revenge of the Sith, and a Hasbro Pulse / ShopDisney exclusive Heir to the Empire 4pk featuring Jorus C’Baoth, Luke Skywalker, evil clone Luuke Skywalker and Mara Jade. I have a very good feeling about this as this won’t be the last entry for Legends/EU we see in 2024.
A pretty good showing but it’s interesting to note that everything shown today is a fan channel item or exclusive.
