Our show returns this week as Flyguy and I discuss the latest in Star Wars collecting. All has been quiet on the Black Series front in the US, but our neighbors to the south recently had a huge roll out of the Black Series line at Walmart that included the Prototype Boba Fett as well as a slick Limited Edition lithograph. On the other side of the pond, UK collectors are getting Star Wars Rebels action figures by way of Disney Stores as US collectors are still coming up empty. Sideshow and Medicom give us some “Rebels” teases of their own and we highlight a few notable custom pieces — all on Episode 37 of The Realm Recap!
Continuing their line of Star Wars themed Vintage Sofubi vinyl figures, Medicom Toy announces Chewbacca. Standing 250mm tall (9.8″), the Sofubi Chewbacca will be available for preorder in Japan on November 30 with an expected February 2015 release date. Price is set at 9000¥ (approx, $84 US)

Our friends at JediNews passed word to us via Instagram that the long awaited Star Wars Rebels figures are starting to hit Disney Stores in the UK. The image above was from the Milton Keynes location. Stock included basic figures and Mission Series sets.
When Star Wars landed in the theaters, it introduced audiences to a galaxy filled with heroes and villains, robots and space ships, and a dizzying variety of alien life. But when the lights came up, they all disappeared… Unless you had all the toys. In which case, the adventure never had to end. Like no toys before them, Star Wars toys were a phenomenon that swept the nation, permanently transforming both the toy and movie industries, and ultimately creating a hobby that, 30 years later, still holds sway over its fans. Plastic Galaxy is a documentary that explores the groundbreaking and breathtaking world of Star Wars toys. Through interviews with former Kenner employees, experts and authors like Stephen Sansweet and Gus Lopez, and of course collectors, it looks at the toys’ history, their influence, and the fond and fervent feelings they elicit today.
New large-scale Star Wars figures are on the way. The 31″ line sees a new Yoda figure, which is priced at $49.99. The Rebels 20″ line has a Set of Zeb and the Inquisitor at $49.99 or the Inquisitor singly at $29.99. The Classic 20″ line has the Series 02 Set of Greedo, Han and Luke at $84.99 (as well as singles of Luke at $29.99) and Series 03 Set of Bossk and Darth Maul at $54.99.
The final Star Wars themed Figurine set is now available through DisneyStore.com. The Empire Strikes Back set includes: Luke Skywalker (X-wing Pilot), Stormtrooper, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Han Solo in Carbonite and Yoda. This and the other two movie sets are available for $12.95 each
Hasbro kicked off a great Black Series launch at Walmart in Tepeyac, Mexico recently complete with 3-3/4″ and 6″ figures from the new black and blue line look. The festivities also included a very cool Limited Edition (1500) Prototype Boba Fett Lithograph*.
For collectors in Mexico, it looks like the Walgreens Exclusive 6″ Black Series Prototype Boba Fett will be getting released as a Walmart Exclusive as seen in their holiday promotions.
