For those hoping to be able to construct your own diorama backgrounds for your action figures, we have some great news as the kickstarter campaign has already reached the fundraising goal!
Yakface.com has no official affiliation with this campaign, but we are happy to help promote this getting off the ground for Star Wars fans who have been begging for items like this to be made for years on end. We also know that several of our forum members stepped up to the plate and showed their support with their contributions. Thank you to everyone (especially the Galactic Merchants team) for getting this ball rolling.
We hope that this is just the beginning of a larger world for collectors and kids alike as these dioramas may be part of making this hobby as fun as it once was.
Today we highlight the great work of customizer DarthDaddy, who presents a great trio of ANH customs that we hope Hasbro turns some attention to soon. Check out full size images of these customs after the jump!
Last week, we learned that the time may finally be approaching where Star Wars fans worldwide can FINALLY purchase diorama sets to display our 3.75″ scale figures… and now the kickstarter campaign is LIVE!
If this campaign is successful and this project becomes reality, it will mean that Star Wars fans the world over will finally be able to proudly display their collections in the way that they have long wanted.
We are hoping that our readers will support this – and if you’d like to be able to help make this happen, click here for more details.
Be at Acme Archives‘ booth (5629) tomorrow at 12pm to get first crack at a mystery Limited Edition Star Wars character key that they’ll have available.
Production work has begun on the next installment in The Enloe Trials photonovel series. Previews can be found here, and if you need to catch up on the most recent chapter, head on over to the forums.
The most recent Yakfinities Customizing Challenge, The Clone Wars, has wrapped up and we’ve got nearly 100 customs to show off in the Roundup Report made by Yakface forum members. The participation and quality of entries was off the chart – check out all the submissions and see which random winners are walking away with some Hasbro Star Wars action figures as prizes after the jump!
We recently posted a wishlist for SDCC reveals in our forums, and now forum member localgotal has added some outstanding mock-ups for some Cinema Scenes that would sell like hotcakes if Hasbro would just make them like the pics he has shown. Check them out after the jump (but remember, none of this has actually been announced by Hasbro – but it should be!).
