TVC Freezing Chamber In-Hand Pics and Thoughts

While some do not like the lack of the “claw” and the “non-playset” design, I personally find the approach that Hasbro took by allowing for collectors to add lighting elements and modular stair designs based on their own approach as a huge plus. The aesthetics are nice, however, this thing is not meant for play (the steps will fall right off). But as a display item, it’s pretty nifty.

Hasbro’s TVC Freezing Chamber has been arriving on doorsteps via Gamestop the past few days. I snapped a few pics of a quick setup in the forums that you can see by clicking here.

Do you love this thing, or hate it? I’ve seen some passionate views noted on social media from both angles. Since I’ve been begging for collector oriented displays for over two decades now, I’m pretty excited to have this in my collection now. So, I’m biased for sure. Let us know what you think!

Yak’s Top Ten: The Original Trilogy Winners

The results are in for the most recent Yak’s Top Ten, which is none other than The Original Trilogy.

There was a different top placement in The Vintage Collection vs. The Black Series. In fact, barely any crossover was present between the two scales at all.

We have tallies for the most wanted additions to The Black Series as well, check out the 6-inch scale results by clicking HERE.

Another Yak’s Top Ten has just kicked off in the forums. We’ll be posting those details soon.

New TVC @ Target

Obtaining these took more toy runs than I’d like to admit.

You are probably aware by now, but the latest assortment from The Vintage Collection has been showing up at Target stores.

Pickings are pretty slim, but with some luck (and persistence), you might be able to score some great new figures. Let us know what you’re coming across out in the wild (if anything at all) after the jump!

Yak’s Top Ten – TROS Results

In June, we posted a new Yak’s Top Ten, for the finale in the Skywalker Saga: The Rise of Skywalker. And now, the results are in!

Think you know who the most requested figure is? I guessed wrong. As a hint, it was the same character in both scales… I was surprised! I think that chances are, you will guess wrong too!

Hasbro seems to be avoiding most sequel trilogy material right now… but, are any of these on Hasbro’s short list? Should they be? Share your thoughts here or in our forums!

Yakface Patreon Membership is Now Live

Well, I’ve had a lot of requests to create a Patreon page for the site in recent weeks, and after some encouragement, I’ve decided to open one. First and foremost, thank you to all of the yakface.com followers (site and social media) for the kind words lately regarding keeping collectors up-to-date with the latest rumors and (disastrous) preorder launches. (It blows me away that corporations the size of Hasbro and Walmart can screw preorders up so badly and on so many levels.)

For the most part, the Patreon page will serve as a blog separate from the site with some more random thoughts but it will still include occasional previews of upcoming articles, rumors, announcements and more. Patreon members can also make content suggestions as well.

We’ll see how this goes as I do spend a lot of my free time hunting for unannounced product which I’m sure will interest you more than my ramblings anyway. Donate what you wantper month – there’s no tiered levels of content at this point.

Again, thank you for the kind words and an advanced thank you to those that donate/contribute to the page to support the site. MTFBWY.
