Custom AT-DP Driver w/ Super Articulation
A lot of our readers find the Rebels figure line intriguing (when they can actually find them in stores), but frustrating because so many of us would like for the figures to have more articulation, or even have more of a hybrid/realistic appearance.
There’s a few figures I’ve toyed around with a bit that I’ll be sharing that are pretty easy modifications (little customizing experience necessary) that I’ll be sharing pics of… first off, the AT-DP driver. Check it out in the forums and let me know what you think (I know it’s not 100% screen accurate, btw).
Customizer Mega Spotlight
Tonight we give thanks to a few of the many customizers who grace our forums by showcasing some of their work in our latest customizer spotlight.
First up, forumite Grimace shares a ton of custom mini-rigs he has completed, along with an impressive gallery of customs he’s purchased from other collectors as well. Check them out here.
Our next highlight is courtesy of forum member JawaKing, who shows off a very cool one-footed “choco-droid” and also some other very interesting droid designs in his thread.
Monsterhjerne also joins in the fun, with a group of Biker Scout custom that he’s upgraded – you’ll want to check out his repainted speeder bikes as well.
Last but certainly not least, Darth Daddy (active as usual with great new customs) has created an upgraded Chopper droid from Rebels that is hopefully on Hasbro’s radar for an upgrade.
As always, the customizers appreciate feedback from their fellow collectors, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the forums or here in our comments section.

Toy Fair Q&A Sessions w/ Hasbro

Toy Fair didn’t provide much of anything worthwhile from Hasbro this year on the Star Wars front, but we ‘d be remiss to not mention a couple of Q&A sessions that Hasbro held with our friends at Imperialshipyards and Jeditemplearchives during the event.
Check them out by clicking on their respective links and see what Hasbro had to say!
UPDATE – We’re happy to share the Q&A session that our friends at Sirstevesguide was able to partake in as well – including a very interesting comment by the Hasbro team that we hope is an encouraging sign…

Toyguide Update: TIE Pilot (SL13)
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume with the latest entry in the Saga Legends/Star Wars Rebels 3-3/4″ line. Next, we take a look at the TIE Pilot (SL13).
PROS: Again, like most of the Rebels figures, Hasbro has translated the series’ animated style to plastic very well. The figure’s proportions seem spot on and the deco, while minimal, is precise – especially the buttons on the life support chest piece. Accessories are spartan as he includes a standard issue E-11 blaster rifle.
CONS: Like others in this line, finding these decent quantity may be an issue. Some/many/most dislike the limited articulation, so they’ll be perpetually disappointed in its execution. Due to the design of the helmet and flight gear box, the head for the figure has a very limited range of movement. Oddly, we get this figure but without an accompanying vehicle on shelves. Sure, we have a dozen TIE fighters from previous lines and The Inquisitors’s personal craft we could use, but not a standard support fighter from the series. Seems like an opportunity squandered.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this figure is worth adding to your collection.
