Toyguide Update: CW7 Commander Cody
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the next addition for the 2012 “Darth Maul” product line. We continue with Clone Commander Cody (CW7) now sporting his evolving Phase 2 armor The Clone Wars Season 4.
PROS: Awesome articulation (especially the combo-joint ankles) in an era where the joint count seems to be dropping like Jedi after the issuance of Order 66. Excellent deco with crisp details and weathering. Well accessorized for fun play options.
CONS: The superfluous propulsion pack works well but the carry over holster from the 2011 Captain Rex (CW62) is rendered useless here since Cody doesn’t include a corresponding blaster.

Movie Heroes Bespin Luke Loose Shots
Our friends at JediDefender have alerted us to some new loose shots of the Luke Skywalker from the upcoming Bespin Duel Battle Pack. As reported before, this figure takes a minimalist approach to the articulation which has become a huge subject of debate since its initial revelation at Toy Fair 2012. Click on over to JediDefender to view this image and more and be sure to leave us a comment here on in our forums if your opinion has changed… or not.

Toyguide Update: MH18 Qui-Gon Jinn
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the next addition for the 2012 “Darth Maul” product line. We continue with another new figure in the Movie Heroes assortment: Qui-Gon Jinn now with Light-Up Lightsaber Blade!
PROS: Head sculpt captures Liam Neeson’s likeness amazingly well. The light-up blade is intense and looks very cool once illuminated. Surprisingly, there is a good amount of articulation in the figure overall – save for the right arm. Figure looks great with a soft goods robe (not included) to hide the figure’s larger torso.
CONS: Like Obi-Wan, this figure won’t be everyone’s cup of blue milk. The torso is rather bulky to accommodate the electronics and batteries. The right arm is sculpted in a static pose, again to allow for the electronics. Lightsaber blade only stays illuminated when button is held down* – a toggle switch would have been welcome. Batteries are non-removable so future replacement and eventual corrosion is an issue. Due to the rigidity of the lower tunic, the posing of the legs is very limited. Finally, due to the sculpt of the hair, the left-right range of movement for the head it restricted.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this figure is worth adding to your collection.
