Episode 329: A Fistful of Figures

And 2012 is here, and despite Hasbro’s street date of January 30th, new figures and vehicles are being found on a daily basis. Some stores are preparing for a major release, and even if your local stores don’t have the items on shelves many are available to ship now online! Listen to this week’s episode to find out where you can get new Vintage Collection, Movie Heroes, and exclusive figures now!
With a run down of store clearance sales and more, it’s all on this week’s Star Wars Action News Podcast!

For all you fans of the Original Trilogy, this is the Yakfinities Customizing Challenge you’ve been waiting for – Cantina Denizens!  Entries don’t necessarily have to be “on-screen” characters seen in the classic cantina from Mos Eisley, but are certainly encouraged!

Whether you’re a crafty customizing veteran or are new to this realm of the hobby, we invite you to join in and take part by creating your own custom figure this round.  And as always, regardless of talent level, we’ll be giving away some free figures to three random winners!

Toyguide Update: VC63 B-Wing Pilot (Keyan Farlander)

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the B-Wing Pilot (Keyan Farlander) (VC63) from The Vintage Collection.

PROS: A solid sculpt from the TLC Evolution set makes for a great release on the Vintage card. The perfect accompaniment to the Kmart exclusive B-Wing Fighter.

CONS: The relatively unexciting nature of the figure, coupled with it shipping on two different cardbacks pretty much guaranteed this figure “pegwarmer” status. Keyan Farlander again? Really?

Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this figure is worth adding to your collection.

You can also weigh in with your impressions on the figures we add to our toyguide on facebook and in our forums.
