Hasbro announced this gem of an Amazon exclusive today: The Black Series Carbonized NED-B and Purge Trooper set ($75). Available for preorder today at 1pm ET.
This is the only time I’ll mention it today because it is awful.

Target is running a hefty sale through March 4 on most Black Series figures. If you’ve been waiting for markdowns on the items included in the sale, now might be the time to grab them before they get gobbled up by clearance buyers later.

The ROTJ40 Black Series Boba Fett is now down to $23.79 on Amazon.

Entertainment Earth has sent out preorder proceessing and shipping notifications for the first wave of Black Series ROTJ40 figures, the ROTJ40 Retro Collection figures, and the Black Series Mara Jade and Dr. Aphra comic figures. Hasbro Pulse is also starting process preorders for the exclusive TVC Figrin D’an and The Modal Nodes set.
If you need to get your finances in order, now’s the time.

It appears that GameStop has bumped the price of the mainline figures (PFP wave and later) and the ROTJ40 figures to $26.99 each. With prices of exclusives already at $28.99, we’ll be offered basic figure repaints for $30+ before the year is over — if they can move the glut of peg warming Gaming Greats that is.

Hasbro has issued a statement regarding future preorders and product releases. I think this is a good thing until release dates, distribution and fulfillment of existing preorders (in the past there have sometimes been near 100 outstanding preorders) can be sorted out.

Hasbro held their first Star Wars fanstream for 2023 and announced several Vintage Collection, Black Series and Retro Collection items as well as Pipeline Reveals. Click on through for the galleries. (No preorders will be offered this week for any of the items).
Continue reading Hasbro Star Wars Fanstream RevealsToday marks 10 years since the launch of the Black Series by Hasbro. It started out as a classification for both 3.75″ and 6″ collector targeted products, but with the return of the Vintage Collection a few years later, Black Series became the defacto designation for 6″ scale figures, vehicles, and premium role play helmets and lightsabers.
One wonders if Hasbro will do anything official to commemorate this milestone.
