Our friends at Imperialshipyards recently began a new video format with their Custom Action Figure News podcasts, and kicked off the new format by interviewing a well-known customizer around the community, Chad Peak aka Peakob1.
Kick back and enjoy his story by clicking on the above image, which showcases many great customs, check out his customizing tools, and learn a custom tip or two. They also made time to do their Star Wars What’s on the Pegs feature, and talked about the new Walgreens Exclusive Boba Fett.
And if you get tired of looking at their mugs you can go to the CAFN Archive Page and download Episode 70 to your favorite device!
We know you are all eager to see what’s in store for the Star Wars line in the coming months, and our friends at Rebelscum have posted the first SDCC gallery for your viewing pleasure. Not a lot of newness yet (to be expected) but there are a few items and they hint at: the 6″ Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot and Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels! Head on over and check out what Hasbro has shown so far by clicking on the image above.
The ToyMan Collector Show returns to St. Louis on Sunday, July 13.
With over 180 dealer tables, you never know what vintage or new Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers or He-Man items you might find, and often at great prices! For more details, click on the image above.
Did you get in on the Space Trees playset campaign by TwelfthParsec? If so, keep an eye on your emails as shipping notices wills start going out this week for those who contributed to the Early Bird campaign. And once you have your sets in hand, remember to share some pics in the forums!
After a bit of a delay between updates, localgotal strikes back with a vengeance with his latest additions to the popular Concept Series lineup he’s created. This latest update harkens back to the roots of the Star Wars saga, and includes three figures that are long overdue for updates by Hasbro.
Why they aren’t making figures like he proposes is quite beyond my capacity. Check them out, enjoy the pics, and join in the discussion after the jump!
Yakface forum member Raylen has just released for purchase his latest diorama accessory piece — the contraption droids fear most – the Droid Torture Rack!
You can order this awesome environment piece for your collection at Holeinthegroundpro.com, and feel free to discuss this latest diorama-builder offering in the forums.
Personal Note: I’ve ordered several items from Raylen, and have been very impressed with each item. His products are top notch quality, and they fill in huge gaps that have been missing in my scenes, from cantina chairs to Imperial accessory pieces.
Quite a few collectors have shared their annoyance in our forums with the appearance of the arms on Hasbro’s new Dagobah Luke. But there may be other options to “fix” this young Jedi by borrowing parts from other figures – such as the 2004 VOTC Luke.
There’s no guarantee this will be a perfect remedy (or work at all), but as a customizer this is something that I intend to try and modify as best I can – and there’s no doubt we’ll see many other customizers attempting to correct Hasbro’s work on this figure too. What do you think? Sound off with your thoughts in the forums.
