As I mentioned yesterday, I thought that the new Imperial AT-DT was underwhelming in the deco department. So I thought I’d make my first attempt at repainting a vehicle. If you follow us on Twitter and/or Instagram, you were able to follow the progress of this project over the course of a few hours. Click on through to check out the before and after and see how a little paint can go a long way in improving Hasbro’s fantastic sculpt.
Walmart stores are trying to clear out product from The Last Jedi now to make way for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Basically everything is getting marked down (though your mileage may vary).
Personal Note: The 5poa figures would move better if they were somewhat customizer friendly (without split torsos)! Take note, Hasbro!

A new customizing community has launched via a private Facebook group. Star Wars: A Custom 1:12 Galaxy is a community of like-minded customizers as well as an educational resource for 1:12 Star Wars custom figures and dioramas. Their customizer’s archive is a variable “cookbook” chock-full of figure recipes, diorama blueprints, tutorial guides and a databank of materials that will allow you to search out and find the unique custom cast parts you need to complete any project.
To help promote this endeavor, we are proud to debut their recipe and tutorial for an amazing 6″ Yak Face/Saelt Marae figure. Click on through for the detailed images and info.

Check out this awesome how-to-video from Cosplay Chris where he takes a basic 3.75″ First Order TIE Fighter and create his own crash scene diorama. It’s pretty amazing.
Everything looks better in Vintage. The latest product to receive a Kenner packaging homage is Funko’s POP! bobblehead line. These custom vintage boxes were created by the talented designer John Lucas Reyes at Riverspoons Studios. Head on over to their Facebook page for the full gallery.
Industrial designer Brad Harris has designed and printed this fully articulated Rathtar (via 3D printing) for the 3.75″ scale complete with Black Series style packaging.
