PROS: Despite using existing tooling from previous Black Series releases, the Battlefront II Inferno Squad Agent still impresses as a figure. The bold red accents and sigils are striking as they almost have a Special Forces First Order TIE Pilot feel. The sculpting still holds up well today and the repurposed Han Solo stormtrooper belt from 2013 makes this figure stand apart from prior TIE Pilot releases.
CONS: Sadly, this figure doesn’t represent the main protagonist of the Battlefront II story, Iden Versio, though I understand the need to recoup tooling costs and still make something in the spirit of the game. There were several issues in the order fulfillment for this figure from delays and dropped orders. GameStop must work on their exclusives relationship with Hasbro if they want to be a successful player in the game. (Pun intended).

PROS: The upgraded deco and soft goods for Rey make this far superior (in my opinion) to the standard Black Series figure release. The inclusion of diecast weapons are a nice touch as they feel weighty in the hand and add a bit more authenticity to the figure. The included Crait base components are nicely sculpted and painted. It will be interesting to see how this environment and Rey interact in the film.
CONS: I, and I think many, feel that issuing superior versions of the same character in such close proximity to the initial figure release date reinforces the practice of collectors waiting out inital product launches. Despite the improvements to the figure and the inclusion of the environmental base, the price of this exclusive at 75% markup over the basic Black Series figure seems excessive.

Amazon has started notifying those that preordered the exclusive 6″ Black Series Elite Praetorian Guard and First Order Stormtrooper with Gear that they are processing orders and shipping now. Originally, these were slated for a December release.
Also revealed is a new Resistance BB Unit (BB-4) coming as an exclusive to a retailer soon here in the US. It now makes sense as to why the box is labeled as generically as it is. Again, thanks to Instagram user var1ant.sg for the image.
The mystery surrounding the placeholder on Walmart.com for a Death Stat 3 pack of POP!s has been solved thanks to Instagram user var1ant.sg. This Imperial set includes a Death Star Gunner, Imperial Officer and Imperial Navy Trooper. Watch for an official announcement soon.
Like last year, Hot Topic will be offering an exclusive, limited edition POP! figure for Black Friday (Nov. 24). The Collector’s Edition Gold R2-D2 includes an acrylic dome cover and faux bronze base.
Toys”R”Us will be promoting their exclusives starting next Sunday in your local newspapers. The ad shows the 6″ Black Series Rey (Jedi Training on Crait) as well as Poe’s Boosting X-wing, the Force Link Starter 2 pk with exclusive figures, roll play items and more. I managed to swing by my local Disney Store over the lunch hour to pick up the first wave of New Star Wars Toybox figures that includes Rey, Kylo Ren and First Order Stormtrooper. First off, the figures are much larger than I realized as you can see in the scale comparison image above. The figures boast 14 joints which, for Rey, breaks down as follows: Ball-socket neck, insert-molded/ball-jointed shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles and a swivel waist. That’s 26 total points of articulation!
