Looks like the 6″ Black Series AT-ACT Drivers have started making landfall on the West Coast. We received a report that the Costa Mesa store in California received (and sold through) a case today. Again for reference, the DPCI is 087-06-1115
A new Disney Store Elite Series Droid Gift Pack has been found at the Imagineering Campus Disney Store in Glendale, CA. The set includes BB-8, C-3PO and R2-D2 and retails for $60.00. Thanks to luchador71 for the heads-up.
A couple weeks ago we shared word that the Disney Store would soon be offering three updated Elite Series Die Cast figures in the US. Disney Store has confirmed via Instagram that they will be available in early April.
On today’s episode of The Star Wars Show, the hosts revealed that Kotobukiya will be offering an exclusive Triple Zero (000) and BT-1 set of ARTFX+ statues at this year’s Star Wars Celebration. Like previous exclusives, this set includes a commemorative coin. You can preorder the set as well as R5-D4, R4-M9 and R2-X2 now at Kotous.com.
For those stockroom hunters, it looks like the Target Exclusive 6″ Imperial AT-ACT Driver will be hitting shelves around the last week of March. We can also exclusively provide the DPCI for this figure as 087-06-1115.
To those that ordered the ECCC/F.Y.E. Exclusive POP! Muftak yesterday, check your inboxes as cancellation notifications are being sent out. Word is that they will still be hitting brick and mortar stores but that is little consolation to those that don’t have an F.Y.E. store in close proximity.
Update: the plot thickens. Click on through for F.Y.E.’s latest response to the cancelled orders.
Funko has updated their blog today confirming the speculation that the ECCC Exclusive POP! Muftak figure will be shared with F.Y.E. stores. Look for an update soon detailing its availability.
UPDATE: Muftak should be available for purchase on fye.com later today.
PROS: An amazing recreation and likeness to Maz Kanata’s design from The Force Awakens. The sculpting overall is exquisite with many different textures and fabrics capturing in the polystone medium. The colors are vibrant – from her orangish skin to her clothing and jewelry – as well as having a nice wash to bring out the fine wrinkles and folds. The inclusion of the swappable arms allows for two display options which is nice to have with some of these static pieces.
CONS: Must be a PG Member to purchase ($120) which will probably drive the after market price higher in the future. Could benefit from some tightening in the paint apps, especially on the hand gripping the lightsaber.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery to judge for yourself whether this bust is worth adding to your collection.
Members of the Elite Series Collectors group on Facebook are reporting* the discovery for 3 “new” Elite Series figures coming soon to Disney Stores in the UK (and the US). Soon, you be able to add Riot Gear Stormtrooper, Finn with Lightsaber and Squad Leader Stormtrooper to your collection. Also of interest is a slight packaging refresh for the line which looks to universalize the box to cut down the cost of printing, requiring only a sticker to differentiate each character.
Thanks to Corey for First Order Transmissions for the heads-up.
There has been a bit of confusion surrounding the retail partner for the 6″ 40AC R5-D4 figure. Original claims out of Toy Fair stated that it would be exclusive to Entertainment Earth, but the images from Hasbro indicated that GameStop would be offering the figure. We’ve received information that Entertainment Earth IS NOT carrying it and it will in fact be sold through GameStop/ThinkGeek.
