While reviewing some of the new images in Rebelscum’s SDCC coverage, I noticed what looks like a possible painted “flesh wound” on one of the SDCC samples for Rey. As you can see above, the one on the left (shown today at the Hasbro Breakfast) has a bloody slice/scratch on the right arm, but the figure on the right from the show floor doesn’t – yet there looks to be a sculpted “deformity” sans blood. What do you think – battle-damage or a simple errant paint job? A variant between the SDCC release and the retail version?
A new 6″ Black Series Rey (Resistance) was revealed at today Hasbro Breakfast. The image above comes from Steve Evans, Design Director at Hasbro via Instagram. He also states that starting in Spring 2018, they’ll be implementing a new paint technique.
UPDATE: here are a couple nice shots of TLJ and TFA Rey courtesy of The Wookiee Gunner
Rebelscum captured a great shot of this wet-haired 6″ Black Series Luke Skywalker that supports our rumor from 2015 regarding a possible Trash Compactor scene with that particular Luke. Stay tuned throughout the weekend to see how/if this pans out.
Rebelscum has posted a gorgeous first look at Hasbro’s booth that is sure to “trigger” many a collector with their amazing 1/12 scale dioramas (not for sale). Be sure to check out all the images for some potential hidden surprises that have yet to be revealed.
Images are popping up via social media from the show floor at SDCC and a new image confirms JTA’s rumor of a Rathtar with Bala-Tik figure for the 3.75″ line. Also confirmed is the “Force Link” feature incorporated into the figures, vehicles and creatures.
Managed to pick up the Princess Leia and Wicket Endor Adventure set over my lunch break at my local Target (Medina, MN). They had these in stockroom as well as the Rey Extendable Staff (which I passed on). As a reminder, retail for the Endor Adventure set is $34.99 with DPCI 087-06-9292. I’ll get my girls to give their thoughts on this set later tonight.
(Sorry if this purchase triggers those (you know who you are) that can’t stand Hasbro marketing to kids or to parents looking to share their love of Star Wars with their progeny.)
