On January 30th all the stores on your toy runs will have the new stock of Star Wars figures from Hasbro. From Vintage to Movie Heroes to Clone Wars, Hasbro has figures, battle packs, fleet vehicles, and more ready to be released. But across the country, mostly at Wal Mart, toys have been spotted early. Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have deployed a mechanized rumor report regarding the next vehicle to get the “BMF” super-size treatment. Head on over for their report and then sound off in our forums on what you think of this possible release.
UPDATE: For those curious about those 20 included battle droids that is kind of a red herring as only 4 of them are poseable, the rest are preposed in their collapsed/storage mode. You can read this for yourself here as well as view a small image.
Our friends at Sandtroopers have once again opened the blast doors and have posted images of a new Clone Wars Class I / Fleet Vehicle. Head on over for a look at the Republic Attack Dropship with new Phase II Clone Pilot!
Yakface forum member stroebel83 has posted an image in our forums that has collectors buzzing – who expected the new Mawhonic figure from the “Discover the Force” line to be the size of a Jawa?
Prior to this, the general consensus has been that collectors can’t wait to get this figure, but how does this revelation affect your view of this figure? Share your thoughts in the forums!
PROS: This set provides collectors with 3 new clones not offered previously, making it the real attraction of this particular assortment (the other two case mates are are laughably bad). The paint apps for each clone are well done (aside from Hardcase’s helmet deco being off slightly). The game cards get a refreshed design for 2012 and now invoke more of a trading card feel with large character portraits on one side with the game matrix on the reverse.
CONS: The figures themselves are great, some might protest the utilization of the “Stone” mold for 2 of the troopers but it is what it is. It is a bit disappointing that the Bomb Squad Trooper doesn’t include any actual bomb accessories.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this set is worth adding to your collection.

Hasbro’s theoretical street date of Jan. 30 continues to be ignored. We’re receiving reports daily of collectors finding new products at their local Target and Walmart stores. In fact, today I managed to score myself the entire Vintage TPM wave and New Clone Wars assortment at Walmart. Remember, persistence pays off sometimes, but it also costs an arm and a leg too.
It seems that this wave, though barely unofficially out (let alone officially), already has variant packaging. Cases of the The Phantom Menace wave have hit Walmart without the Darth Maul Giveaway/Promo sticker nor do they include the mailaway entry forms packed in the bubble. You can check out a shot of this in our forums courtesy of member Jedighost009.
