We are less than a week out from NYCC and less than a month away until the next trailer for The Force Awakens, but in the meantime there are plenty of new products hitting retail and announcements from manufacturers. On this episode, Flyguy and I discuss new Hasbro figures hitting Walmart, a new line of Titanium collectibles, and a great new 1:6 preorder from Hot Toys. Also, we discuss new info regarding the Inquisitors from Star Wars Rebels, new Topps trading card releases and much more. All this, plus our weekly, show and tell of new acquisitions and purchases on episode #78 of The Realm Recap!

We are one week past Force Friday, but the aisles look like the week before. The desired product is virtually wiped out with only drips and drabs of stock replenishment taking place. To add further insult to injury, Kmart set many collectors up for failure in trying to obtain their exclusive 6″ Kylo Ren by launching a very early Sunday morning preorder. Is there hope for the modern day collector in this environment? We also discuss some of the latest product reveals from figures and vehicles to more exclusives. All this and much more on episode #75 of The Realm Recap!

Back in February, we speculated that Hasbro may start up another 6″ scale of limited articulation figures similar to the 12″ Hero Series. It looks like that has indeed come to pass as a new image out of Hong Kong shows a new Finn figure. Hasbro has done this with their Marvel line as well with the figures sold through dollar stores and the like. No word yet as to US availability.
Force Friday is over and in its wake we are left with empty pegs, a ton of exclusives, and some frustration. Join Flyguy and me as we break down last week’s reveals and announcements from Hasbro Hot Toys, Kotobukiya, S.H.Figuarts and more! Plus our show wouldn’t be complete without our new purchases and acquisitions segment. It’s a super-sized, and force-filled episode of The Realm Recap!

While browsing about eBay this morning, I stubbled across two exclusive variant covers for the upcoming Shattered Empire series.
The first, exclusive to Comic Pop Collectibles, features an ominous depiction of the Emperor with Darth Vader in the foreground. The second, exclusive to Third Eye, features Luke Skywalker over a star field with the Millennium Falcon under pursuit. Look for these on shelf September 2.
The shroud of “The Disney Side” is slowly, but surely, being lifted on the plans for Force Friday. This week, Flyguy and I discuss some of the images, product lists and unwitting retail employees leaking out info ahead of September’s big reveal. Speaking of big, Hot Toys revealed the ultimate 1:6 item – the Millennium Falcon display recently in Hong Kong. It not only went viral in the collecting community, but caught worldwide attention on media outlets as well. Is something like this actually viable in today’s market? We wrap things up with a bit of comic news as well as our weekly breakdown of new purchases and acquisitions and more on Episode #70 of The Realm Recap!
