Rumor Report: Star Wars “Story In A Box” Update

Right before NYCC, we posted a report about an upcoming $10 assortment of Hasbro figures referred to as Star Wars: Story in a Box*. The first four figures include Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and R2-D2. After some further investigating, I’ve found there are four more of these sets (probably wave 2) that includes Princess Leia, Han Solo, Stormtrooper and Yoda. Watch for additional details on this product line soon.

As with all of our advanced rumor reports, details of these products are subject to change and/or cancellation altogether.

*Officially named “Galaxy of Adventures”

Hasbro NYCC: 2019 Vintage Collection

Hasbro also took the wraps off of a few new Vintage Collection figures (and some repacks too). New figures include confirmation of our rumored  Luke Skywalker (Crait) from The Last Jedi plus the Imperial Assault Tank Commander from Rogue One. Vintage repacks include Hoth Leia, Echo Base Han Solo, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) and Boba Fett – those 5 will be available via specialty shops.

Hasbro NYCC: 6” Black Series Reveals

Hasbro revealed several a few new figures today at their live panel. For Black Series they showed Dr. Aphra, Triple Zero, and BT-1 (all of which we announced here in July. Plus a GameStop exclusive Imperial Rocket Trooper (Commander), and Target Exclusive Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper with new trash compactor specific deco and sculpt! Entertainment Earth NYCC SW Exclusive Announcement on Friday

Entertainment Earth has announced that starting tomorrow they will be announcing their exclusive preorders* for NYCC. Watch for the Star Wars exclusive to be announced on Friday, October 5.

Note: Entertainment Earth used the Black Series Biker Scout graphic for their exclusives banner for SDCC 2018, so don’t assume that the exclusive for NYCC is Scout Trooper related.

Rumor Report: Star Wars “Story In A Box”

Doing some investigating around my usual haunts, I came across some frightening details about a new assortment of figures called Story in a Box*. From what I’ve been able to gather, there are 4 different sets: Darth Vader, Jedi Luke, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 and should retail for around $10 each. Beyond that, I’ve heard that these figures are minimally articulated (the price point gave up that ghost) and should be available in late 2018/early 2019.

Maybe we’ll hear more about these at NYCC — or maybe not.
