While we won’t be there in person this year (again), we encourage you to check out the coverage of this year’s New York Comic-Con (NYCC), starting tomorrow night for Hasbro’s Preview Party via our friends listed below:
We will be sharing the news from the event here and through our social media channels as we can so be sure to like, follow and +1 for the latest news. Also, be sure to tune in to this weekend’s episode of The Realm Recap (Saturday, 11pm EST) as Flyguy and I break down the reveals and announcements from NYCC!
Within the frames of Rebelscum’s recent Gentle Giant gallery for SDCC, you can see several new and yet-to-be-announced Jumbo Kenner figures. Head on over to take a closer look at Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise), Ugnaught (I sense a variant in the works), Logray, and Admiral Ackbar.
We know you are all eager to see what’s in store for the Star Wars line in the coming months, and our friends at Rebelscum have posted the first SDCC gallery for your viewing pleasure. Not a lot of newness yet (to be expected) but there are a few items and they hint at: the 6″ Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot and Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels! Head on over and check out what Hasbro has shown so far by clicking on the image above.
The crew at Rebelscum have posted additional images of the Toys”R”Us exclusive 6″ Cantina Showdown set and it looks like we can now expect the Disney logo applied to the revised Black Series packaging as well. Head on over to check it out.
Rebelscum has updated today posting the first look at packaged samples of Vader, Chewbacca, Jedi Luke and Sandtrooper (Black Pauldron) in the revamped Black (& Blue) Series line look. Head on over for a closer look.
It looks like the Black Series Battle on Endor boxed set won’t be the only exclusive at Toys”R”Us this year. Rebelscum has posted word that two additional sets are in the works and are in the system at Toys”R”Us in the UK. No details yet other than Cantina Showdown and Jabba’s Rancor Pit but it sounds like we may be getting another shot at some desired TVC figures like Ponda Baba and the Gammorean Guard – but at a price. If these sets are more repacks, do they hold any interest to you, “the collector”?
Rebelscum has announced a limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness Patch to increase recognition of the disease. Head on over for the details on how you can get yours.
During the Star Wars Rebels panel at NYCC over the weekend, Lucasfilm revealed the merchandise line look for 2014. Thanks to a great photo (shot by Rich Alot over at Rebelscum) I was able to retouch it a bit to give a clearer representation of what we will see in stores in a few short months. Click the image above for a closer look.
Those Rebelscum have updated their coverage of NYCC with a great photo gallery of images and details revealed at the Star Wars Rebels panel. As you’ll see in the slides, there is everything from concepts to finished designs as well as an additional look at the packaging coming for Star Wars Rebels in 2014. Head on over for a closer look.
Thanks to our friend Rich Alot from over at Rebelscum/Cool Toy Review, we can present to you a few photos from the floor of Hasbro’s ‘Twas the Night Before…Party last night. It goes without saying that Hasbro really is honoring that statement saying that the Black Series is meant for collectors as some of these figures are the best issues that have ever been done.
