The official site has updated today with the announcement that dates for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 has been moved up 4 months from August to May. The new dates run from May 26th through the 29th.

A long time staffer at YodasNews.com, Brandon Jackson, and his wife were involved in a devastating auto accident over the weekend. Brandon suffered serious injuries and unfortuntately his wife, Nancy, did not survive. Thankfully, their son was not in the vehicle during the accident.
Brandon has been active in the Star Wars community for years as a photographer and a frequent attendee of conventions. He was recently featured on StarWars.com as part of their Our Star Wars Stories articles.

Hasbro Reveals/Confirms New Comic Based Black Series Figures

Star Wars Resistance Season 1 DVD Available August 20
Lucasfilm has issued a press release for the Emmy nominated series Star Wars Resistance being released on DVD August 20.
Star Wars Resistance: Complete Season One delivers more than eight hours of entertainment including 21 action-packed episodes, 4 audio commentaries, 12 bonus shorts and an exclusive sneak-peek at the making of the series with cast and crew.

StarWars.com Removes Fan/Collecting Sites Section
Back in 2014, StarWars.com relaunched with a brand new site which had a dedicated section for Fan News and Blog Sites, Fan Collecting Sites and Fan Podcasts. Jake Stevens from From 4-LOM to Zuckuss noticed that those sections now have all been removed from their Community page and replaced with a statement as follows:

Lucasfilm and Star Wars: Force for Change today announced Roar For Change, a global challenge in support of UNICEF that invites fans to share their own version of Chewbacca’s fearsome roar on social media.
For each public post, like, or share on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter that includes #RoarForChange between May 3 – 25, 2018, Star Wars: Force for Change U.S. will donate $1 to UNICEF USA, up to $1 million.
Funds will be used to support UNICEF’s lifesaving work for children around the world. More details can be found at the official site.
