Today marks the final coordinated Mando Monday media event and features the official reveal of the Black Series Force FX Elite Darksaber, the Black Series Boba Fett Re-Armored Helmet and the Target Exclusive Galaxy’s Edge Captain Cardinal Helmet. Preorders for all launch today at 4pm ET.
Also for today’s Mando Monday, Target announced that they’ll be offering/re-issuing the former convention/HasbroToyShop/Amazon exclusive 6″ Black Series Echo Base Set featuring the unique, hood down, brown coat Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa. The set retails for $49.99 which is surprising considering that is the original price it sold for back in 2018.
Armed with some UPC/EAN info, I ventured into Target today to see I could get a hit on the Black Series figures that we exclusively reported on Monday. Low and behold the info is in Target’s system – and it confirms the code names.
With this info some theories can be proposed:
– The price point is indicative of these being exclusive.
– These are individual DPCIs that are not part of an assortment so could they be another wave of Galaxy’s Edge items??? (These figures are also exclusive to ToysRUs in Canada – the retail partner for GE merch in that country.)
– Walmart received an exclusive wave of figures for The Clone Wars – could this be something similar???
DPCIs have been added to our extensive UPC/DPCI/SKU Master List.
Target has a nice Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale happening right now, through December 5th. Let us know if those toy runs are turning up with any good finds after the jump!
According to recent shipping data, it appears that there is a large shipment of various Black Series items headed to Hasbro’s distribution center(s). Included in this freight are cases of the Deluxe Jar Jar Binks, the new wave of Black Series Archive featuring Commander Cody, Han Solo (Hoth), Luke Skywalker (Hoth) and Grand Admiral Thrawn, more of the Target Exclusive Din Djarin and The Child packs, plus lots of Wave 28 featuring Moff Gideon, Greef Karga, Kuiil and Rey (Dark Side Vision).
UPDATE: Watch for the new wave of Black Series Archive to start arriving in Target stores the week of Christmas. DPCI 087-16-5540 – they are NOT exclusive to Target.
Last week we reported the first sighting of TVC Wave 16 at Target and this week, it looks like Walmart has followed suit. This report comes from scottw703 on Instagram in Chesapeake, VA courtesy of @KyloCollector.
Meanwhile, preorders for the TVC Incinerator Trooper (and TBS Clone Wars figures) keep getting pushed back into 2021, or outright cancelled, despite taking new in-stock online orders.
Thanks Walmart, your failure is complete.
After picking up my set of 6″ Remnant Stormtroopers from Target this morning, the first thing I did was check the packaging for the potential reveal of the next figure in the line (10). As you can see above, it looks like we’re getting another Mandalorian type figure. Based on some of the details like the jet pack and shoulder armor, it’s hard to determine who it may be exactly as the art doesn’t exactly match character designs for Bo-Katan, Koska Reeves, Axe Woves, nor Cobb Vanth. Who do you think it is intended to represent?
UPDATE: The figure in question is the rumored Bo-Katan. The jet pack artwork on her packaging has been update to reflect her design on The Mandalorian
