Older Waves Continue to Surface
By most accounts, this has been a dismal year at retail for the Star Wars line, starting with a massive overproduction of the first wave of vintage, followed up by Hasbro carrying forward far too many TPM figures in subsequent waves that ended up creating a terrible logjam at retail – so many amazing figures this year have been nearly impossible to score at retail thanks to this disaster.
However, there are still rays of hope, as with Christmas rapidly approaching, retailers are beginning to stock the pegs a little more frequently with waves we expected to be able to find over the summer (better late than never, right?).
If you’re brave enough to fight the crowds at retail, and are persistent enough, you just might be able to score a few late gems this year – I’ve personally seen the Evazan wave three different times (all at different retailers) over the past two weeks, and other forum members are reporting similar finds.

Basic Figures Sale at Target This Week
Target is having a sale on basic action figures (Star Wars, Marvel, TMNT etc.) each for $7.99. While this sale might not help clear out the peg warmers at your local store, bring the ad into Toys”R”Us and they should price match the sale for you.
TRU Special Value Vehicle Packs Landing
During my circuit of stops today at TRU, it appears that many stores are receiving and placing their allotment of the Special Value Offer Starfighter 2-packs. One of my stops did have the Mandalorian Assault Transport, but in less than MIB condition. I picked it up anyway because that’s how I roll. Click on the image to check it out.
Vehicle Special Value Offers Hitting TRU
Our friends at BanthaSkull.com are reporting the discovery of Clone Wars midsize vehicle 2-packs that are being sold as “Special Value Offers” at Toys”R”Us. Head on over for the full details.
Be on the lookout for the illusive Mandalorian Assault Transport as it has turned up in these value sets as well.
Vintage Millennium Falcon Hits TRU Stores
Our friends at Galactic Hunter have posted via Facebook that the exclusive Vintage Millennium Falcon is currently hitting store shelves as evidenced by the above photo taken in Chandler, AZ. Just a reminder, there is NOTHING new for this vehicle – the deco and the included figures (Han and Chewie) are the same as the prior release. But, if you’re a packaging variant collector or just a TVC collector this is for you.
Remember, ask a store associate to help you get high items off the shelf and have them help you lift your wallet while they’re at it as this will set you back an extra $100 from 2008.
TRU Exclusive Vintage BMF Online
ToysRUs is now taking orders for their Exclusive Vintage Millennium Falcon and by the looks of it, that throwback design comes at a premium of $249.99. Will you buy your own ship for that?
