Five Below Continues to Stock Vintage
Do you have a Five Below store in your area? If so, it may be worth your while to swing by your local establishment and see if they are receiving TVC figures these days – the local store I’ve hit in the St. Louis area received a heavy shipment of the Malgus/Imperial Navy Commander wave about three weeks ago, and restocked again over this past weekend.
The only problem is, each case contains seven Episode One carry forwards from Wave 1 (unless, of course, you need an infinite army of Qui Gons and Obi Wans!).
UPDATE – Yakface reader Chris H., who is an assistant manager at Five Below, tells us that the stores do not have the power to order these on their own. These cases are distributed throughout the company by how much sells at that particular store.
A Digested Look at The Vintage Collection
Did you ever wonder what a ranking list of the best figures from The Vintage Collection would look like? Wonder no more. We have been invited by Jedi Temple Archives to be part of the panel for their “A Digested Look at The Vintage Collection” special report alongside many other fan sites to rank what figures from this collection are the absolute cream of the crop. We also are joined by three special guests from the Hasbro Star Wars team which makes this an unprecedented event. See what figures made the final ranking and compare the panel’s picks and how they differ next to the Hasbro team’s choices. The Special Report also gives warm tribute to The Vintage Collection in a general retrospective manner. There are even some special “gifts” for readers to take away from it. Click through for more.

UPDATE: Slave I Price Drop on Amazon

Jedi Temple Archives has altered collectors that Amazon’s Exclusive Slave I is on sale for only $69.99. There is no telling on how long this sale will last so get your orders in quickly.
UPDATE: It appears that this markdown is more of a price adjustment than sale as it no longer lists the original $99.99 pricepoint. For those that pre-ordered, you might want to check your order status to see if the adjustment was done there as well.
Five Below Strikes Back!
Just as we’re getting geared up for The Black Series figures to start hitting, Five Below now comes through like they did so many times in 2012… this time, with the Darth Malgus wave!
There’s some great figures in this wave, but as we all know, also a ton of TPM figures that Hasbro unfortunately decided they needed to pack into the first three assortments of TVC last year, which crushed distribution for anything past the first few assortments of TVC in 2012.
Anyways – be on the lookout for these if you have a Five Below store in your area and hopefully this means that more waves past this one are on the way!
