Just a friendly reminder that the Episode VII Customizing Challenge wraps up on March 30! This gives everyone just over a week left to make a custom – the grand prize winner will get to choose from the above prizes, and then two random winners will also receive an item from the above prize pool!
Even if you have never created a custom figure before, you have a chance at winning big just by making a custom of a character that you think could appear in the next Star Wars film.
It’s that easy! Make your custom and post a pic of it in the Yakface Forums, or at Imperialshipyards.net and you are entered into the contest!
If you’re looking for some cute Easter basket stuffers, Target stores are starting to receive new shipments of Jedi Force figures. Click on the image above for a closer look.
If you have a Kmart in your area, keep in mind that all clearance toys are an additional 50% off and this deal goes on until March 30.
Many stores have multiple areas where they pile up their clearance toys, which means if you dig a bit you might be able to score some great finds at drastically reduced prices, like forum member darthapathy did with the AT-ST crew members for just $5.50.
This one is easy – all you need to do is create a custom figure of something you think we might see in the upcoming film, and post it in our forums! And if you post it in the forums at both sites, you have doubled your chances of winning a great prize (and these are by far the best prizes we’ve ever had for a customizing contest).
Toys”R”us has been running a great sale over the past month – but as a reminder, this sale ends on Saturday.
Stores around the U.S. have been consistently restocking TVC figures for this, most notably the Deleted Scenes wave. So if you’re in the hunt for these figures, or just want some extra army builders / custom fodder for a good price, you’ve only got a few days left to take advantage of this price.
The next Yakfinities Customizing Challenge launches in April – voting has begun in our forums. Click here to cast your vote for what you’d like to see Yakface forum members customize next!
The current Yakfinities is also underway – head on over to the forums to see the latest enteries — and don’t forget, there will be some cool prizes given away to some random winners once again, so be sure to submit a custom before the deadline of March 31!
Forum member YakFace is at it again, this time with pics of his 3.75″ scale custom Wampa… check out all the pics in his customizing thread… and while we’re at it, can someone at Hasbro please take note of this?
We’ve all been frustrated with the Star Wars retail situation over the past 12+ months – and Target has been one of the worst culprits places of all. What used to be a haven for new figures has become the land of the pegwarmers due to the tidal wave of Episode One product that Hasbro pushed last year.
Recently, Target clearanced out their TVC figures… but then today while on a toy run, I came across an interesting find at my local Target… for more details, click here.
Target stores are receiving the latest Figher Pod sets consisting of Jango Fett’s Slave One and a Geonosian Fighter – each set comes with eight mini figures. The sets are priced at $14.99. This one’s for the kids – and is a pretty cool item for an Easter present for the little ones.
