Customizer plisnithus7 has sent in a very cool series of creature maquettes he has done based off of pre-production illustrations from the Original Trilogy.
I thought you guys might be interested in some of the custom Star Wars maquettes I have been making recently based off of characters either not used in the movies or only seen in pre-production sketches/paintings.
Our current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge runs through December 31, and the theme of Order 66 Survivors grants all customizers a lot of freedom to make some great fan-fiction figures.

This weekend we highlight the jaw dropping custom playset work by forum member jrnyfan. He has made numerous custom playsets and shows a teaser of his work in his customizing thread where you can leave him your feedback here.

Personal Note: Get it together, Hasbro. You’ve had this license forever and have totally missed the boat with dioramas and playsets and focused on doomed gimmicks instead. Innovative collectors from all over the world are finding ways to make their collections feel more complete, and are willing to spend good money for nice sets to display their figures in…
On November 2/3, Rhode Island Comic Con will be held, and in attendance for the first time as a vendor will be Hole in the Ground Productions. If you’re in that area and make the show, be sure to swing by their booth as they will have a full stock of their custom movie props and custom diorama items available.
This weekend we run a well overdue Customizer Spotlight on the amazing work of forum member Peakob1. Just imagine how much more exciting the Clone Wars line would have been in 2012 with attention to detail (and variety of characters) like this!
