Forum member Scarrviper has shared some spectacular photos of some of the last figures from the TVC line in the forums.
Many of us have gotten these figures already from some of our online sponsors, but for those who have not yet been able to enjoy these amazing figures yet, head on over to the forums and see just how great these figures are when situated in dioramas (such amazing photography by Scarrviper doesn’t hurt either!).
Sideshow updates today with a preview of the upcoming Darth Maul Legendary Scale Bust. Pre-orders start this Thursday between 2 and 3pm Pacific and it is priced at $249.99. FlexPay plans will be available as well. Head on over to Sideshow Collectibles to check out the latest addition to the series.
PROS: Hasbro has done the inevitable and repurposed the 2009 Major Panno in to one of my personal favorites from the Kenner line. The deco and new head sculpt are very well done and the new soft goods cloak really gives it that nostalgic “Kenner” feel. Like Panno, he is loaded with articulation and includes his own signature rifle, blaster and tiny commlink.
CONS: The only drawback with this figure, and its casemates, it that it is an online exclusive – i.e. not sold in stores. : (

It’s been exactly one week since the news broke: Disney buys Lucasfilm, Episode VII in 2015. It’s a major change of course for a franchise that had long been declared dormant, and one that will have far-reaching impact on Star Wars collectors. On this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast, Marjorie and Arnie take your voicemails, giving podcast listeners the stage to share their excitement and their trepidation about this news. Plus updates on new Star Wars collectibles for sale online. All this and more on this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast!
Target is having a sale on basic action figures (Star Wars, Marvel, TMNT etc.) each for $7.99. While this sale might not help clear out the peg warmers at your local store, bring the ad into Toys”R”Us and they should price match the sale for you.
During my circuit of stops today at TRU, it appears that many stores are receiving and placing their allotment of the Special Value Offer Starfighter 2-packs. One of my stops did have the Mandalorian Assault Transport, but in less than MIB condition. I picked it up anyway because that’s how I roll. Click on the image to check it out.
Target has stocked their holiday decoration aisle with new ornaments for 2012. Click on through to check out a few of the latest blown glass ornaments from Kurt S. Adler.
PROS: For fans of the series, this is a nice expansion pack in order to get some of the additional troopers for the “Wolf Pack” squad. The deco for Clone Commander Wolffe (and his troopers) is much closer to the actual color as portrayed in the series.
CONS: Since this set is now an online exclusive (previously set to be a Walmart item), collectors may have to pay a little bit extra than if they were to pick this up at retail. Plo Koon only includes his double bladed lightsaber gauntlet whereas it would have been nice to get his standard issue Jedi weapon.
