Rykrof Enloe gets Animated!
Although I’ve never been a huge fan of The Clone Wars styling, I have to admit, seeing a Clone Wars animated rendering of my fan fiction photonovel character, Rykrof Enloe, blows me away (and suddenly I find the styling a lot more appealing)! Check out the full rendition that forum member jedimasteradi created by clicking here!
Won’t Stick? Staple it!
Lo and behold, Toys”R”us employees have come up with an alternative to taping the bubbles back onto The Black Series figures… a few well placed staples will do the trick as I witnessed today. Before getting upset with retailers for this, remember – this is a manufacturing issue on Hasbro’s side; not the fault of stores that receive faulty packaging from Hasbro.

New Star Wars Content Coming Exclusively To iOS 7 Devices?
Our friends at JediNews have posted an interesting bit of speculation (through an unnamed source) that iOS 7 users via Apple TV, iPhone and iPad may be the outlet through which new Star Wars content is distributed.
Why do people sink this low?
Swapping figures and returning an undesired item in a different package is the same as stealing, and what’s worse is sometimes a kid ends up with something as a present that they didn’t expect.
I always shake my head in disgust when I come across a figure hanging on the pegs like the example image above – but forum member dj121 puts it rather well when he says, “That swap make absolutely NO sense at all.”
With The Black Series line having issues with their bubbles falling off the package, we might soon be seeing scumbags resort to this practice even more this Fall and also more suspicious ebay auctions like the one our friends at Jeditemplearchives recently pointed out.
So, be on the lookout not only for new figures, but figure swaps unfortunately! And share your thoughts and recent finds in our forums!
Episode 403: Crazy Train
Have you found the new Hasbro figures? All Hasbro’s new lines, Black Series 4-inch, Black Series 6-inch, Mission Series, and Saga Legends, are showing up across the US. New toys are a welcome relief to the modern Star Wars figure collector after many months with no new releases, and on this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast the coverage continues. Listen to this week’s podcast for a hands on review of the new 4-inch Black Series figures. Then vintage Star Wars collector Jerry takes a look at the Saga Legends figures and provides his views on their five points of articulation.
Also on this week’s show Arnie and Marjorie review Sideshow Collectibles’ new Shaak Ti The Force Unleashed Premium Format figure. They call it a “Premium Format” and it certainly comes with a premium price tag–is it worth it? Listen to their review, and then join in the discussion on Sideshow’s recent quality issues. From bad paint to shipping damage, reports are rampant regarding poor quality control on the Sideshow products. More, Sideshow’s Customer Service seems less than willing to make it right. Arnie provides his first-hand experiences on this week’s podcast.
With Brock reviewing John Jackson Miller’s new Star Wars novel Kenobi and a look at a Star Wars collectible that will shake your caboose, it’s all on this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast!
Battle of the Pegwarmers
We’re only a few weeks into the launch of The Black Series, and the very figures that collectors said would pile up and prevent later waves from reaching retail are already seeing the first signs of pegwarmer dust in my area.
Funny how that works… but, maybe it’s not that bad everywhere else and Hasbro knew what they were doing by doubling up on certain figures rather than throwing in the new Emperor’s Royal Guard or something ultra cool and in demand like the TVC Magna Guard?
Maybe the market is wrong about what the market wants to spend their own money on? Just maybe we all want to buy multiple Anakins and need armies of Biggs? Share your thoughts and reports on this first wave in the forums!
