Hasbro and ROTJ40: A Day Long Forgotten???
Today’s marks the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi and what better time to drop new Vintage Collection and Black Series items that were previewed months ago? Hasbro, at the time, claimed there would be no preorders for these items, but for weeks, I’ve tracked the arrival of the figures shown above to distribution centers in the U.S.. One would hope that Hasbro/Lucasfilm could generate some synergy for today’s ROTJ milestone and offer a “See Now, Buy Now” type event with online retailers. The day is still young, but sadly I don’t hold much hope that this will actually happen.
