Upon revisiting our Target DPCI list we posted on July 2, one of the listings (087-06-8397) is now updated with a new coded description: “E8 BL Tango Black”. Since it is pretty specific and is reported as having a 10/1 release date and $19.99 price point, we suspect this may be an exclusive figure for The Last Jedi.
As we continue to gather details for Force Friday II in September, we’ve managed to assemble a preliminary “rumor” list of two waves of Black Series figures slated for release starting Sept 1. Wave 1 has been nailed down for a while but Wave 2 has some “newness” to it.
We are back! Join Flyguy and Yakface as we discuss the latest news in Star Wars collecting! A lot has happened since our last show from new 40th Anniversary figures finally being found at retail to the pending announcement of new product at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con which kicks off next week. All this and much more on episode #112 of The Realm Recap.
Realm Recap co-host Flyguy reports that the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Commander Gree has started arriving at store in Australia as well. Good on the rest of the world getting them in a timely manner as its usually everyone but the US that gets the shaft on exclusives.
Target needs to take a hard look at their DPCI system and how they assign them to particular UPCs as there is no good explanation as to why a Black Series figure from 2015 (let alone Zuvio) should still be twice as much as a figure from 2016.
The Toys”R”Us Exclusive 6″ Black Series Commander Gree has hit retail in North America. The image above was posted by a collector “Barf” from the Rebelscum forums from his store in Kitchener, ON, Canada.
In honor of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Toys”R”Us will be offering BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE on all non-exclusive 6″ Black Series figures. The sale will run from from Sunday, July 16 through Saturday, July 22. Promotion valid in stores and online.
Toys”R”Us has issued details for this year’s shared SDCC Hasbro Exclusives and confirms that the 6″ Black Series Clone Commander Gree will be available at SDCC (Entertainment Earth Booth #2343), then online starting July 20 through July 23. Gree will be released in stores this Fall. Click on through for the detailed boxed and loose images.
Reports are coming in from coast to coast that wave 2 of the 40th Anniversary Collection is being found at Target. Black Series collector groups on Facebook and our friend Corey from First Order Transmissions reports snagging these over the extended holiday break through today.
