Hasbro held their anticipated Fan First Wednesday Livestream showcasing several new TVC and TBS items and gave a few sneak peeks at what’s to come in 2022.
As we await the launch of today’s Fan First Wednesday, Hasbro has previewed – via select fan site outlets – a new POTF2 inspired Princess Leia Organa (Yavin 4) figure. This should go up for preorder on November 1 in the U.S. at Hasbro Pulse. If this exclusive doesn’t do it for you nostalgia-wise, look for her to be released in the regular Black Series line in an upcoming wave.
Hasbro has finally gotten around to announcing another Fan First Day which will be held next week on Wed. Sept. 8 at 11am ET. Watch for some new announcement, reveals and preorders to go up the following day.
It appears that the Rogue One selection of characters for Black Series will continue expand into 2022 as JediInsider has posted the rumor of an upcoming Saw Gerrera deluxe figure. Maybe we’ll hear something official next month at Hasbro Pulse Con.
In what seems like another lifetime, Hasbro months ago announced via thier “Pipeline Reveals” that Cobb Vanth would be coming to the Black Series line. We’ve heard in recent weeks that he will be released as a Deluxe figure (similar to ROTJ Boba Fett, Jar Jar and Wrecker) and will now be coming sometime in 2022.

JediInsider is reporting a rumor of a Deluxe Black Series Dark Trooper from The Mandalorian is coming (finally) sometime in 2022. Deluxe of course means a higher price point than the standard Black Series figure so that should put this figure in the $31-$35 dollar range.
No word as of yet for a Dark Trooper for the Vintage Collection.
Another round of price increases are hitting online retailers as the cost of materials and skyrocketing shipping/transportation costs from China affect the market. For example the Black Series line recently increased about $1.50 per standard (non-exclusive) figure, and now another increase of $2.00 is planned pushing MSRPs to near $25. Exclusives will approach $30 and Deluxe figures around $40. Obviously, these increases won’t be limited to Black Series, Star Wars or even Hasbro.
