After an anguishing drought, TRU has started to receive shipments of new figures… as always your mileage may vary, but in these troubled times it’s a breath of fresh air to walk into a store and know there’s a chance it could be stocked with new product!
Good luck with those toy runs, and be sure to post your finds in our forums!
A few weeks ago, we posted that Steve Sansweet is working on a new book titled, Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection scheduled for release later this year. We’ve learned today that Dan Curto is consulting/assisting in the publication of this book. Just one more reason to add this resource to your library this October!
Remember when the Legends lines were fun and Hasbro found a way to appeal to both collectors and kids? When we actually looked forward to walking into the toy aisle?
Collector frustration continues to rise, so we’re going to start throwing some new ideas toward Hasbro in the forums, and we’re starting things off with a bit of a rant with how they’ve handled Movie Heroes so far this year and how it could have been handled better.
Sound off in the forums with your thoughts, and even your own ideas after the jump!
Our friends at JediDefender.com and JediTempleArchives.com have shared information regarding an ebayer who has several auctions going on currently for upcoming figures of Nom Anor, Aayla Secura, Dr. Evazan, Kithaba, and the upcoming 501st Clone Trooper.
Other than Hasbro’s lazy effort with the ginormous helmet on the clone, this looks like some of Hasbro’s finest work. Head on over to Jedi Defender or Jedi Temple Archives for the auction links and share your thoughts in the Yakface Forums!
Amazon has added a new listing to their site revealing a new action figure collecting resource book from super-fan Steve Sansweet. Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection: 35 Years of Characters features 352 pages and is slated for an October 17, 2012 release. Pre-order yours today!
Barely a month after new product hit the shelves, some Wal-Marts are already putting some of Hasbro’s new line on clearance. It seems like some retailers are realizing that vastly inferior repacks from a decade ago aren’t in demand; especially at inflated prices – how long before Hasbro realizes this too?

Forum member StooperZero also ran across TVC figures marked at $4.00 each at his local Wal-Mart, and I saw the same thing at three different stores in the St. Louis area today as well, but of note, in my area at least the clearance only applies to the 2010-2011 line.

Back in December 2011, we received an intercepted transmission that Lucas Licensing was planning on using Yoda as the follow up to the Darth Maul brand look for licensed merchandise in 2013. Today, we can confirm that is in fact true. Click on through for the full reveal…
Tonight we spotlight the collection of Yakface forum member Ootini – check out his vast collection and amazing custom cabinets used to display his hobby after the jump!
Yakface forum member stroebel83 has posted an image in our forums that has collectors buzzing – who expected the new Mawhonic figure from the “Discover the Force” line to be the size of a Jawa?
Prior to this, the general consensus has been that collectors can’t wait to get this figure, but how does this revelation affect your view of this figure? Share your thoughts in the forums!
