Managed to pick up the Princess Leia and Wicket Endor Adventure set over my lunch break at my local Target (Medina, MN). They had these in stockroom as well as the Rey Extendable Staff (which I passed on). As a reminder, retail for the Endor Adventure set is $34.99 with DPCI 087-06-9292. I’ll get my girls to give their thoughts on this set later tonight.
(Sorry if this purchase triggers those (you know who you are) that can’t stand Hasbro marketing to kids or to parents looking to share their love of Star Wars with their progeny.)
For all you Ewok fans our there, forum member JawaKing has listed some outstanding customs from our most recent Yakfinities Customzing Challenge (Tribal Aliens) on eBay. These each have an extremely reasonable “Buy it Now” price listed – to add some of these to your collection before they are gone, click here!
Upon revisiting our Target DPCI list we posted on July 2, one of the listings (087-06-8397) is now updated with a new coded description: “E8 BL Tango Black”. Since it is pretty specific and is reported as having a 10/1 release date and $19.99 price point, we suspect this may be an exclusive figure for The Last Jedi.
Remember how things were broken down for The Force Awakens 3.75″ basic figures? Figures and vehicles were grouped into 4 categories: “Forest”, “Snow”, “Desert” and “Space”. For The Last Jedi, the Star Wars Universe (SWU) is broken down into two categories, “Orange” and “Teal”. These color designation may have some alternate definition later on, but for now this is how they are being grouped.
As we continue to gather details for Force Friday II in September, we’ve managed to assemble a preliminary “rumor” list of two waves of Black Series figures slated for release starting Sept 1. Wave 1 has been nailed down for a while but Wave 2 has some “newness” to it.
We are back! Join Flyguy and Yakface as we discuss the latest news in Star Wars collecting! A lot has happened since our last show from new 40th Anniversary figures finally being found at retail to the pending announcement of new product at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con which kicks off next week. All this and much more on episode #112 of The Realm Recap.
Realm Recap co-host Flyguy reports that the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Commander Gree has started arriving at store in Australia as well. Good on the rest of the world getting them in a timely manner as its usually everyone but the US that gets the shaft on exclusives.
Target needs to take a hard look at their DPCI system and how they assign them to particular UPCs as there is no good explanation as to why a Black Series figure from 2015 (let alone Zuvio) should still be twice as much as a figure from 2016.
