Walmart.com has updated their site with new graphic for their Collector Con on October 6 and you can just barely make out the silhoutte of the halloween-themed Black Series “Were-Wookiee” that debuted at SDCC this past July.
Also launching that day are preorders for the Black Series Imperial Officer (Dark Times) and Cassian Andor (Aldhani Mission) figures.
Instagram follower aztoyhuntersguild reports finding a handful of the long delayed exclusive Black Series Boba Fett (Droids) figure at Target in Goodyear, AZ. Look for this figure in your area around Oct. 2 and use codes DPCI: 087-16-3003 and/or TCIN: 83690285 to aid in acquiring your bounty.

Amazon is now taking preorders for the exclusive Black Series Mandalorian/Ahsoka Tano/Grogu Set revealed today. This set feature tweaked versions of existing figures to incorporate new deco (Mando) and new accessories (beskar spear, cloak for Ahsoka) and an updated Grogu — all within new Plastic-Free Packaging (PFP). The price $66.99 with an expected release date of Spring 2023, though it may be much sooner as I already see record of it arriving in the U.S.
We received reports that the long-awaited Mandalorian & Grogu (Maldo Kreis) set has started to surface in stores. These should start becoming more prevalent over the next week or so as the clearance items are replaced with “new” products.
Target has finally updated some of their open ended release dates for various Black Series and Vintage Collection preorders. I look we can expect to see movement on TVC Axe Woves, TVC Boba Fett (Morak), TBS Mandalorian & Grogu (Maldo Kreis), and the TBS Dark Trooper on October 2.
Collectors have started to receive preorders for the Amazon exclusive Black Series Cad Bane (Bracca) figure from The Bad Batch – but be warned. Some collectors have reported on receiving the Obi-Wan Kenobi (Wandering Jedi) figure instead. On the flip side, collectors that did order the Wandering Obi-Wan received this Cad Bane in their shipment. Clearly a mix up and select Amazon distribution centers.
Collectors who preordered their Black Series Princess Leia Organa and Darth Vader (Redeemed) Comic/Publishing figures through Hasbro Pulse have started to receive them over the last couple of days. These two figures close out wave 2 and now collectors eagerly anticipate the next wave which is rumored to include Mic from Scar Squadron/Task Force 99 and Mara Jade.
The above retro wave has sold through and restocked several times in some areas.
For the first time in recent memory, I’m seeing a Star Wars Hasbro wave consistently selling and then getting restocked… and selling again. Are you experiencing this in your area? And how far down the Retro Collection rabbit hole do you want to see Hasbro go?
Personal Note: I’m still just lukewarm to the Retro line. It’s a novelty to me, and I pick and choose a few figures here and there. My preference is for the standard TVC line (though I would be interested in a mid-tier line that has modern sculpts, with 10-12 pts of articulation, and a lot more variety than what is offered today). However if the Retro line continues to gain momentum, it’s hard to see Hasbro deviating from this approach anytime soon.
