Another mystery listing has shown up on Amazon sites overseas and what is puzzling about this one is that the Australia listing describes it as a Vintage “Cat Toy” item, while the Italian listing has it simply as “Black Series”. Both listings share the same Hasbro SKU number (F2886) and EAN/Barcode. The price for this item is around 60 Euros.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what it may actually be but considering how specific the AU listing is (and how general the IT listing is) I’m putting this in the TVC column.
A new 6″ Black Series figure listing has been found on the Australian and Italian Amazon sites. It is unknown who the character is but Amazon AU lists it as being a character from The Mandalorian Season 2. As we’ve previously reported, this figure also has dual code names for the same Hasbro SKU: “Cheetah” and “Haiku”. Thanks to JTPrime for bringing this to our attention.
It’s hard to know what to expect with Hasbro’s upcoming Fan Fest in two weeks, but it looks like there are several preorders coming judging by the 12 listings added to certain vendor’s website. The new listings break evenly between Vintage Collection and Black Series, which is nice, but I believe four of the TVC figures are for the upcoming repack/repaint wave. The two “new” TVC listings feature code names I haven’t seen until now “FOUNTAIN” and “MARKER” – these may line up with the rumored TVC Gaming Greats figures but it’s difficult to know at this point until I find some additional info and with the doubling up of code names now. As for the Black Series figures, these should all be from the next wave and feature Aurra Sing, Tech, Q9-0 and others.
Since we’re still a couple weeks out, details may change so stay tuned.
It looks like those exclusive climate/weather code named Black Series figures are starting to arrive in Canada. Shipping info indicates that 65+ cases of the figure code named “Rain” have dropped in Hasbro’s warehouse. No word yet who this figure – but it is likely a Target Exclusive in the US and priced at $24.99.
Hasbro warehouses in Canada are starting to receive new items including the recently revealed 6″ Black Series Darth Maul (Sith Apprentice) and Carnot Jax (not a typo). No word if Canadian orders will fill early or be held for their announced release date.
For some time, we’ve been providing code names via our Master List for upcoming product for the Black Series and Vintage Collection products. Recently we’ve noticed that some figures have started to double up on the code names in order to further mask their identities from prying eyes until they are officially announced. TBS has been doing it and now it appears matters are worse and TVC is employing the tactic as well. Read on for my theory that may impact the number of figures coming for TVC in the near future.
Hasbro is asking participants their preference for an upcoming potential designchange for Black Series packaging which removes the plastic window. You can see the variations in the images above. As you may recall, back in August 2019, Hasbro stated their goal of removing plastic elements from all of their new packaging by 2022.
Confirming previous rumors, Hasbro has revealed the four new Black Series figures based on fan favories from classic Star Wars stories. Preorders will launch tomorrow at various online retailers. Head to StarWars.com for additional detail.
