While heading to the cabin for the extended holiday weekend, I thought I’d try my luck at a couple “backwoods” Walmarts. My first stop (Pine City, MN) yielded a 40th Anniversary Jawa and Death Squad Commander, but my second stop was where I really hit the jackpot…
Funko has just announced two new exclusive POP! 3 packs coming to Walmart – an Ewok-themed set including Teebo, Chief Chirpa and Logray (late-July) and a Bespin-themed set Lobot, Ugnaught and Bespin Guard (August)! Click the images above for a closer look.
Joining all of the wave 2 card variants for the 40th Anniversary Collection, the Darth Vader Legacy Pack box has also received the text adjustment for the age recommendation – switching to all UPPER CASE. Since Target has given up the ghost on carrying this set, you can continue to find steady shipments of these hitting Walmart.
UPDATE: This text change also extends to the Darth Vader cardback inside the box making for 3 distinct carded versions:

Twitter follower Eric S. reports finding the Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Lightsaber at his Walmart in Clarksville, TN.
Today we have a sizable list of complied UPCs, Walmart SKUs and Target DPCIs for known 6″ Black Series (Deluxe and Centerpiece lines), Forces of Destiny Adventure Figures, and other Hasbro Star Wars related products coming out over the next couple of months. Ultimate deal finder Scott from Tulsa reports finding the 40th Anniversary Darth Vader with Display “Legacy Pack” on sale for $19.87 at his Walmart. And for those that require additional proof, here is a link to the receipt.
As many collectors feared, the experiment with having TBS 3.75″ as an exclusive line to Walmart has turned out to be a mess.
In fact, the 6″ line has also become quite a nightmare across many retailers considering the mountains of Jyn and Cassian figures that are bottlenecking later assortments from reaching big box retailers.
Even with deep discounts, Walmart can’t seem to move much of this stuff (Hey, Hasbro… the trend here is you massively overproduced hero characters – and some in obscure outfits, – please don’t do this again).

UPDATE – Just after posting this, forum moderator Jodo sent me this pic as his local Walmart (Edwardsville, IL) just received two more cases of this same wave that was released a year ago… how can they get in more of these when the same figures are falling off the pegs??

Collectors looking to acquire the POP! Deluxe Rey with Speeder without having to win a lottery or stand in line at Star Wars Celebration can rest easy. It looks like it will be a shared exclusive released through Walmart leaving only the Exclusive POP! Garindan retail partner to be revealed.
