Gentle Giant has revealed today the full details for their SDCC Exclusive 12″ Holographic Princess Leia Collector’s Gallery Statue. Limited to only 770 pieces, it features light up effects as well as a sound chip to play dialogue from this iconic scene in Star Wars: A New Hope. Retail price is set at $140 US.

This morning prior to the LEGO event at Toy Fair 2015, Yahoo officially reveal LEGO’s new UCS (*Ultimate Collector Series TIE Fighter. The 1,685-piece model, which includes a pilot, display stand, and descriptive plaque retails for $199.00 and will be available in May 2015. Click on through for the full image gallery.
Yahoo TV has an exclusive report revealing that Frank Oz will be reprising his role as the voice of Yoda for the Star Wars Rebels series. We won’t actually see the Jedi Master though, he will only be heard as a voice over.

According to Mark Hamill in an interview with Yahoo, BB-8 aka ” the Ball Droid”, the small droid is not CGI (computer generated imagery)* but “a live prop”. All the more reason to like the little guy/girl. Head on over to read more including his reaction to the teaser and is thought on the sequel in general.
There’s no doubt that there will be a CGI version at some point in the film(s) but having a physical model will surely help “ground” the actors in the scenes.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that LEGO will be offering an exclusive, smaller version of the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels
The Ghost starship from “Star Wars.” Each is priced at $39.99 and Lego will sell 1000 of each set during the show, capped at 250 per day.
