Continuing the popular Star Wars Art series, Amazon has up for pre-order Star Wars Art: Posters
Few pieces of artwork distill the passion for Star Wars as do posters. From Tom Jung’s iconic one-sheet for Episode IV to Roger Kastel’s Gone with the Wind–inspired painting for Episode V and beyond, Star Wars has enjoyed nearly four decades of poster art from some of the most renowned artists working in movies. The fifth book in the George Lucas–curated Star Wars Art series, Posters collects the best artwork from all six Star Wars films, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series, and limited-edition prints. This collection unites all of the action, artistry, and drama of a galaxy far, far away into one lavishly produced tome.

Did you get in on the Space Trees playset campaign by TwelfthParsec? If so, keep an eye on your emails as shipping notices wills start going out this week for those who contributed to the Early Bird campaign. And once you have your sets in hand, remember to share some pics in the forums!
Few things in the hobby excite me as much as seeing collectors who know how to display their stuff in massive dioramas, so when forum member Buried Egg shared pics of his Emperor’s Arrival scene, I immediately felt ashamed of my personal pathetic display of this icon scene, and had to share his work with all of you.
It’s stuff like this that inspires me to customize more when I can, and put extra effort into photonovels and the like. For more of his work and other great dioramas by Yakface forum members, head to the forums.
After a bit of a delay between updates, localgotal strikes back with a vengeance with his latest additions to the popular Concept Series lineup he’s created. This latest update harkens back to the roots of the Star Wars saga, and includes three figures that are long overdue for updates by Hasbro.
Why they aren’t making figures like he proposes is quite beyond my capacity. Check them out, enjoy the pics, and join in the discussion after the jump!
Yakface forum member Darth Kikinou has informed us of many new photonovel additions to The Photonovel Alliance – including some great new Indiana Jones adventures by Lance Quazar, and the most recent installment in The Enloe Trials by yours truly.
Kick off your shoes and make yourself comfortable with your morning coffee and spend some time checking out some of the great Star Wars adventures housed on his site – I would argue that some of the creativity and storytelling there rivals the work professionals who get paid to do this for a living.
