On November 2/3, Rhode Island Comic Con will be held, and in attendance for the first time as a vendor will be Hole in the Ground Productions. If you’re in that area and make the show, be sure to swing by their booth as they will have a full stock of their custom movie props and custom diorama items available.
The photonovel adventures of Rykrof Enloe are set to continue in the near future – but a big part of the process before any story can begin is creating new environments for he and his plastic friends to explore. Star Wars merchants get one last hurrah in Yakfinities #53 with the Roundup Report! We had dozens of awesome entries and even a few dioramas made for this customizing challenge – which you can check out here. With the new Toys”R”us reset, obviously most of us are hoping this means better things for the collector lineup’s distribution. Today I came across some Wave 4 figures for the first time at a Toys”R”us; which was a sight for sore eyes.
Now is the time to start getting back to the hunt, but as always these days, your chances of success on toy runs are not what they used to be… but perhaps things may be back on the upswing?
Forum member Grimace has shared several pics of Hasbro’s new Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Prototype in the forums. It looks to me like Hasbro has hit another home run here, meaning all three of the new Rebels mid-size vehicles surpass most of Hasbro’s other recent efforts. It’s been quite some time since collectors have had much to get excited about when it comes to Hasbro’s vehicle offerings. But that may change with the new assortment just now starting to hit from the Rebels line. I really don’t think my pics do these things justice, but I do believe these vehicles are worth every penny! With just a couple minutes to spare for a quick toy run to Toys”R”us today, I stumbled upon something not seen in quite some time by my weary eyes – 3.75″ scale vehicles worth picking up! Head on over to the forums for a closer look.
Personal Note: Priced at $22.99 each, these “mid-size” vehicles offer not only all-new sculpts, but are pretty well made too. No, they’re not Hasbro’s finest achievement but for what the retailers are charging, it seems like a very fair deal. These are light years better than all the Jedi Starfighters Hasbro’s been trying to force down our throats for years. I’ll be getting pics posted of them “loose” as soon as I can, and I can already say I want at least two more walkers. BTW, my son loves these.
