After one of the largest droughts in modern Star Wars collecting history, new Star Wars items are being found (mostly at Target so far), including the very cool new Mos Eisley Cantina by Lego. While not all Target stores have officially put these items on the shelves yet, some have (and the most others have them in their stockrooms by now for imminent aisle resets). So keep your eyes peeled, and hopefully many of you have been saving your collecting dollars for the influx of new product that is about to bombard the toy aisles!
Some Target stores are beginning to put out new Rebels product in advance of official store resets. Today I came across some new Lego sets and some of the new Star Wars Command line. If you have a Target store in your area it may be worth your while to swing by and see what you come across, but remember your success rate will likely vary as today I was turned down by a store to get me a new Black Series Deluxe Jabba, even though the store had them in the back (which I think many of us have had similar experiences in the past with that).
As we prepare to gear up our coverage for this year’s SDCC we’d like to suggest that you enable notifications for your mobile devices. We will surely be bombarding our social media channels on Facebook (fb.com/yakfacecom) and Twitter (@yak_face) with news as it breaks — PRIOR to the news hitting our front page.
We are also conscience that some may not like the constant notfications as well so we suggest turning them OFF if so inclined.

We know you are all eager to see what’s in store for the Star Wars line in the coming months, and our friends at Rebelscum have posted the first SDCC gallery for your viewing pleasure. Not a lot of newness yet (to be expected) but there are a few items and they hint at: the 6″ Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot and Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels! We’d like to wish all of our readers a safe and happy 4th of July. It was just three years ago we lost one of our good friends in the hobby this time of year.

After a bit of a delay between updates, localgotal strikes back with a vengeance with his latest additions to the popular Concept Series lineup he’s created. This latest update harkens back to the roots of the Star Wars saga, and includes three figures that are long overdue for updates by Hasbro.
