Over the weekend, I received information for at least two new 6″ Black Series Credit Collection figures – Moff Gideon and The Armorer – coming at some point this year. As you recall, these figures are simple repaints of existing figures made to emulate their concept art shown at the end of each episode of The Mandalorian and released on Vintage-style cardbacks. No word yet as to which retailer(s) they’ll be offered.
Note: the art above may or may not be used as the basis of the figure’s deco and card art.
If you are looking for a nice savings on the new LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett’s Starship/Slave I from The Mandalorian, and have access to Costco, head on over and grab it for only $38.99 – (MSRP $49.99).
Over the weekend, we received several reports of collectors finding the new Walmart exclusive Black Series Captain Rex from The Bad Batch in Canada. Thanks to artbypauly on Instagram for sharing these images with us.
Hot Toys has revealed the full details on their new 1:6 scale Luke Skywalker figure from The Mandalorian. There are 2 versions available standard and deluxe with the latter including a destroyed Dark Trooper torso. Both versions of Luke feature positionable eyes, include Grogu, a hologram of Moff Gideon’s Light Cruiser and a wide variety of swappable accessories. Look for preorders for these to launch soon at Sideshow Collectibles.
Yakface Forum members have just wrapped up another Customizing Challenge… this was the 80th one now!
The theme was Entertainers, and we had some very creative and interesting submissions… be sure to check them out, and see who is walking away with some TVC prizes after the jump!
I think most of us would agree that hunting for TVC at retail is almost always a complete waste of time and has been for quite a while. There are of course ways to somewhat easily acquire new figures online however, or even through online marketplaces like Mercari (which I am now addicted to).
Today, I had an unexpected surprise by scoring a trio of TVC Shadow Stormtroopers at a local collector shop basically for standard retail… sure the figure is just a repaint, but it’s better than staring at empty pegs. It actually made my day to upgrade my Shadow Stormtroopers finally, and the cardback looks awesome too.
More hunting at Target has turned up another possible Black Series Deluxe Figure coming later this year. As always, it is unknown who this character or whether or not it is an exclusive. The relevant info has been added to our Master List. More as we learn more.
While poking around at the Target price checkers today, I stumbled across a new listing which looks to be another Black Series exclusive. Code named “Libra”, this figure is priced inline with the recent exclusives for $26.49. Obviously no indication who this character may be as of yet.
