You’ve read the teases for a while but the latest edition of the Star Wars Show has revealed the Vintage Kenner style packaging for the 6″ Black Series line of 40th Anniversary figures. While not all figures are shown, they do reveal a special exclusive version of the Luke Skywalker (X-wing Pilot) available at Star Wars Celebration.
This weekend kicks of the annual Toy Fair trade show in New York and Hasbro has released information for a few more items that will be front and center for retail buyers to review. A report from the Black Series 6″ Collectors Facebook Group shows that the Revan wave of Black Series figures has started popping up outside of the GameStop stores. Bijan N. found the Snowtrooper and Princess Leia figures at Shopko in Redding, CA. Since they weren’t in the system, he got them for a great deal at $7.49 each.
This wave has also turned up recently at Walmart (Frederick, MD) thanks to a report from Kenny M.
Gentle Giant has announced Finn – the latest 1:6 Scale Mini Bust from The Force Awakens. This amazingly detailed mini bust has been digitally sculpted using top of the line 3D software and prototyped using 3D Systems industrial 3D printers. The final product is hand cast in polystone, and painstakingly hand painted so that no detail is missed. Comes with numbered certificate of authenticity.
K & C Collectibles has added NEW Rogue One 3.75″ Action Figures, Celebration Europe Star Wars Insider (Light and Dark Side covers), Rogue One Behind the Scenes Collector Edition, Gentle Giant Bust, Topps Star Wars – High Tek trading card box and Hot Wheels 2016 Pop Culture Set of 6. Funko has just announced their exclusives for Emerald City Comic-Con (ECCC) and among them is the exclusive Muftak POP! figure!
Gizmodo has also revealed a new take on the 6″ Black Series format. Reminiscent of Hasbro’s “Unleashed” line of static figures from a few years ago, the Centerpiece assortment features dynamically posed figures with a display base featuring light effects and sounds. Look for these at retail later this fall for $50 each.
Gizmodo has posted the first look at the rumored 3.75″ Black Series die cast figures from the 40th Anniversary Collection. The line launches soon with 5 characters from A New Hope that includes Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Each $15 figure includes an interlocking display base and backdrops featuring a film setting and character portrait. Click the image above for a closer look.

Our friends at Jedi-Bibliothek have received intel that the Force Friday merchandise roll out for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will allegedly begin globally on September 1, 2017. With the problems that surrounded The Force Awakens event, let’s hope that the products for the sequel have better distribution on launch day.
