We are happy to announce a new feature – the Concept Series by forum moderator localgotal!
Our intent is to show off the amazing concept ideas that he has put together, and to encourage discussion on the direction we all want Hasbro to get back to… which is making more collector focused products… and showing how easy some of these can be, because Hasbro already has a lot of the tooling for these!
Each week when we have a new concept to show, localgotal will be posting it in the Concept and Mockups section of the Yakface Forums for your viewing pleasure. Leading things off the first concept, the shadowy Arleil Schous from A New Hope!
It appears that TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores are gearing up for the Christmas season, as these stores continue to receive more of Habro’s older product at discount prices. So if you have one of these stores in your area, it may be worth your while to make a quick stop and see what you can find!
Yakreader Adam V. writes in with word that he too has found the 2012 Naboo Starfighter at his seasonal Toys”R”Us Express in Camarillo, CA for $19.97 each. The Naboo Fighter is also shipping alongside the green Republic Tank Fighters which say limited distribution as well.
Recently forum member DarthDaddy completed some amazing custom Ewoks, which are now in the possession of another of our forum members, Incom. These ewoks are nothing short of amazing – for a full gallery of these furballs, click here!
This week we are featuring new arrivals like the Freddy Krueger video game action figure, Matt Smith Plush and Hulk Fine Art statue! Click on through to check out the list.
We’re still putting up the fixtures and finishing the decoration on our brand new store, and tinkering with our new products, so come see what’s in stock, and available for pre-order, and on clearance at www.dorksidetoys.com
Now that we know the official release date for Episode VII in theaters, we know that Hasbro has right around two years before the Episode VII toy line will launch.
That being said, what direction should they take this line? Should we see simple figures in the $6.00 range, or should Hasbro go all out and make premium figures that will retail around $10.00 a pop? Or two lines? Or should they try and meet in the middle with an approach similar to what worked for the Episode III line?
Join in the speculation and share your thoughts in the comments section or in the forums!
Forum member darthmadonna has come across something Hasbro surely can’t be happy about – clearances already on their new 5POA Legends line! Head on over to the forums to share your thoughts on what could be an isolated incident, or very bad news for Hasbro.
