Resistance Mid-Season Trailer and Season 2 Greenlit

Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the high-flying animated series “Star Wars Resistance” for a fall 2019 premiere. The series follows Kazuda Xiono (“Kaz”), a young pilot recruited by the Resistance for a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order. Season one continues on SUNDAY, JAN. 13 (10:00-10:30 p.m. EST/PST), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. The mid-season one trailer for “Star Wars Resistance,” featuring a first look at a major villain from “The Force Awakens,” was released today on the Star Wars YouTube page.

Walmart Exclusive TVC Mimban Stormtroopers Arriving (Online Orders)

Walmart’s exclusive TVC Mimban Stormtrooper is finally seeing some distribution thanks to them being in stock online, though at a pretty high markup.

Personal Note:  Mine arrived today, and damn what a fine figure it is!  Hopefully Hasbro and Disney are taking notes that great army builders like this should be packed heavily in basic assortments as opposed to being an exclusive.  And just imagine how much better the TVC retail landscape would look if Wave One of TVC had two of these packed into each case instead of repacks of Rey and Jyn?

Final Rant of 2018

Last evening,  I stopped by my local Walmart and naturally went into the toy section.  The Star Wars scene at this store is essentially the same at every Walmart and Target in my area.

I love this hobby, but am so frustrated by the current direction of the merchandising.  Almost every time I see people for the past year looking at Star Wars stuff, it ends the same way… with the potential buyer shaking their head and walking away.

So I decided to post a new rant in the forums and threw out some ideas on how Hasbro/Disney could potentially start making Star Wars toys that their retail partners can have more confidence in selling to the public again.
