Rumor Report: 6″ Black Series Jaxxon

No, this is not an early April Fool’s joke.

The other day, I teased on Instagram regarding new Legends figures coming to the Black Series line in 2021 and today I heard again about the possibility of Jaxxon being made for the line as well as 3 additional characters that were originally created pre-acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney and should all be fan channel exclusives. Some interesting choices for sure but this one was the most surprising.

Update: It appears Jaxxon was rumored on JediInsider back on Dec. 24.

Rumor Report: A New/Old Imperial Walker in The Mandalorian?

While hunting for new product info today I found a new name for a Hot Wheels Imperial walker for The Mandalorian series on Disney+. The product was designated “Huckleberry Walker“, and we know that products with the “Huckleberry” code name refer to that show specifically. With some further digging, the name has now changed to “AT-ST Raider” which is also interesting as it revives a name previously used in the Expanded Universe/Legends era. It so happens that in EU, the vehicle was also used in a battle on Mandalore. The AT-AR concept was also repurposed for the Star Wars Rebels series and became that AT-DP.

Jon Favreau is a huge EU/Legends fan so it’s not surprising that he’s pulled from that material to populate his vision universe. Rest assured, there will be plenty more Easter eggs like that throughout the series.

Hot Wheels will also have The Mandalorian’s Razor Crest, as part of its Starships line of die cast vehicles.

Rumor: KOTOR Movie In The Works?

I’m told that THIS is the kind of thing we should be reporting, so here it goes. There are strong rumors swirling that a movie based on Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is in the early stages of development! Buzzfeed News has an exclusive report that according to 3 sources, Laeta Kalogridis (whose work includes Altered Carbon, Shutter Island, Terminator Genisys) is writing the screenplay.

Kathleen Kennedy, was tightlipped when asked at Star Wars Celebration about a potential film or series saying only that “we are developing something to look at”. With the built-in Expanded Universe fan base that the KOTOR series has, this should be a no-brainer.

What do you think, should there be a KOTOR film or series of films? How closely should it fall in line with what has already been developed for that story – a direct interpretation or should it take certain aspects (characters, locations, etc.) pull them in and develop an all-new storyline around them?
