PROS: Hasbro takes their previous TVC/Lost Line Sandtrooper and gives it a fresh deco/wash and new rank by way of a black pauldron. Plenty of accessories give you a variety of display and play options and the incorporation of the sentry droid into the backpack is a nice feature — albeit not a new one.
CONS: Only way to obtain this figure was to order a set of figures that you may not have necessarily wanted or needed, making it a relatively spendy figure.

You can submit your entries by clicking here, but remember, in order to be eligible for a prize, your submission(s) should be a new custom made for the contest… and not something you made previously.

A lot of collectors may not be happy with the Droid Factory line being an Amazon exclusive, but there’s no denying this is some of Hasbro’s finest work in terms of packaging, and it’s a true shame that this line was replaced by The Black Series. Our friends at Galactic Hunter have snapped a pic from Hasbro’s booth showing a placard for an exclusive Droid Factory set coming this November for $59.99. It looks to include many of the canceled Build-A-Droids and other from the defunct Droid Factory line. Jedi Temple Archives received word at Toy Fair from Hasbro that they were trying to get these figures to the public, so it’s nice to see it’s coming to fruition.
Update: According to Galactic Hunter, the retail partner for this set is Amazon.com
