Yak’s Top Ten returns, with the theme switching over to something that until recently didn’t seem to be in Hasbro’s game plan… PLAYSETS! But of course, something has changed at Hasbro on this front (for the better).
What playsets do you want to see made in The Vintage Collection from? Post your TVC wish list HERE.
You can also do the same thing for the 6″ scale line in The Black Series. Post your 6″ TBS wish list right HERE.
Note: Wish lists may also be posted in the comments section of this article. You may post both a TVC and TBS list, but please do not post your wish lists in this comments section AND in the forums. And please indicate if you’re referring to TVC or TBS with each list.
Today we spotlight a fantastic custom AT-Hauler by forum member WhillsScholar – he even included instructions for you to make your own! Check it out after the jump!
We’ve read and received several reports that the long-delayed Walmart Exclusive 3.75” TVC Mimban Stormtrooper has finally started to hit stores. The image above was from a store in Atlanta, GA. via darthdj666.
Update: if you’re looking to use Brickseek as a method of tracking these down, be sure to use the regular assortment code for the Vintage Collection (239252624) as the Mimban Stormtrooper quantities are tied to that number rather than its unique product SKU.
Now that we’ve got the base B1 Battle Droid for the 6″ Black Series, I thought I’d whip up a concept for a potential exclusive (or series of exclusives). As you know, there are a plethora of decos available for the B1 so I whipped up what I think would be a great 4pk some online retailer could offer* which could include OOM-9, Security, Battle Damage Droid and Geonosis Arena variants.
*This is not a hint or veiled tease of an unannounced product.
As reported last week, the latest 6″ wave of TBS figures is hitting Target stores. In a rare stroke of good luck, I stumbled upon them in the St. Louis area as well this morning. Share your store reports here or in the forums after the jump!
Personal Note: The Mimban Han Solo is really one of the best looking figures I’ve seen Hasbro make in any scale – fingers crossed that it’s not too long before we see a TVC counterpart of such quality that is readily available to the market…
Yakface Forum member Chuckles has been on a roll lately with several custom figures to help populate Hasbro’s Sail Barge. Check out his excellent work after the jump!
Vote for the next character(s) to be made for the 6” Black Series for the 40th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back at the fan sites listed above. Details/procedures for voting can be found at their respective sites.
For those looking to get an early jump on the upcoming Walmart Exclusive TVC Jabba’s Palace Adventure Set, bookmark this placeholder as it just became active tonight, although not available to order. This set also includes a TVC carded Ree-Yees and Han Solo with Carbonite Block
