Images of new Hasbro product from Solo: A Star Wars Story have made their way online from Nuremberg Toy Fair. We get our first look at Han Solo, Qi’Ra, Range Trooper, Lando Calrissian, Kessel Guard, TIE Fighter, and more.
Stay tuned later today for some new Hasbro product release details we’ve found.
Pilot Studio has posted an Instagram video showcasing Gregory Titus’ illustration process for producing the artwork for the Black Series packaging. In the quick video, you can see what looks to be a 6″ Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead) figure used as reference for the sketch. I guess we’ll find out more in a couple weeks at Toy Fair.
UPDATE: It appears that the figure above being used (as reference for a potential Black Series figure) is a Sideshow 1:6 scale figure. Thanks to Instagram follower @Star_Wars_memes_501 for the update.
UPDATE 2: Pilot Studio posted on our Instagram page the following:
They have also removed the video from their Instagram feed and posted this statement.
As we shared yesterday on Twitter, Entertainment Earth has listed the Padme Amidala (Naboo) Adventure Figure (C3521) back on their site for release in March. The Padmé Amidala Mission Set (E1508) that we first reported here is still cancelled. The Mission Set was to have included 2 outfits (Naboo and Geonosis) similar to the Endor Adventure Leia figure.
If you are a Balance Rewards member at Walgreens, head to your local store(s) to take advantage of the sale on 6″ Black Series figures. They are currently available for $12.99 each. For you multi-faceted collectors, the sale also applies to the 6″ Marvel Legends (great for scoring the new Black Panther wave).
We kicked off a new Yakfinities Customizing Challenge this month and would love to see lots of cool entries before the deadline of March 31. Head on over to the forums to submit a custom, or just to check out the various entries that have already been made!
Here’s some good news regarding the Forces of Destiny line. The Luke with Yoda Adventure Figure set is in stock and ready to ship from sponsor Entertainment Earth.
Another one bites the dust. Entertainment Earth has sent notifications to those who preordered the Forces of Destiny Sabine Wren with Graffiti Speeder that this item is now cancelled. We initially posted the rumor of its pending released back in December. Things are looking dire for those Creatures and Droids adventure packs we reported as well, at least in the U.S.
As we continue to assemble our upcoming checklist for the product launch on April 13 for Solo: A Star Wars Story, we’ve heard of two more vehicles coming as part of the Class B assortment. One is a repack from The Last Jedi – the A-Wing Fighter with Tallie, the other is rumored to be Han’s Landspeeder (with Han) as seen in the leaked production photos as well as the LEGO set (75209). Considering the number of repacks and non-Solo film related figures/vehicles coming out that day, the merchandising tie-ins seem to be quite low – maybe lower than Rogue One.
Since the Battle on Crait was a bust in getting the Force Projection Luke figure, I thought I’d take an unscientific poll on what company will release/announce one first? Click on through to the comments to weigh in on the 4 options.
