It’s time for another Customizer Spotlight, and I’d say this one is long overdue – forum member I-am-Boba-Fett continues to churn our custom figures at a staggering pace, creating all kinds of figures that we can only hope Hasbro gets to someday.
We just received confirmation via HunterPR that Ahsoka and Darth Vader figures revealed yesterday will be sold together (Mission Series style) and not on individual cards.
We are still a few months away from their planned fall release so plans may change before then.
USAToday has posted an exclusive article summarizing season 1 of Star Wars Rebels as well as revealing special “Rebels” figures including Ahsoka and Darth Vader! Click on through for the high res version.

The ToyMan Collector Show returns to St. Louis on Sunday, March 8.
With over 180 dealer tables, you never know what vintage or new Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers or He-Man items you might find, and often at great prices! For more details, check out their official site, and we have plenty of images in our forums from their recent shows to give collectors an idea of what kind of toys to expect to find.
Also as an added bonus, Jordan Hembrough from Toy Hunter fame will be in attendance once again.
One of the best things about customizing is recognizing the many different techniques and approaches to creating custom figures. Case in point, recently we’ve seen two very different approaches to creating a Trandoshan – head to the forums for a closer look.
Also, our current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge continues through the end of March – and the theme is Bounty Hunters – so if you’re a customizer, what are you waiting for? Create a custom and join in the fun… over 40 customs have already been created this round, and we hope to see many more! And remember, we give away prizes at the end.
Flyguy and Yakface are back once again to grind through the week’s Star Wars collecting news. On this show, we continue to report good things on the retail front as more and more Star Wars Rebels figures are making their way to collectors. The Star War Rebels trading card series hit retail this week and we’ve partnered with Topps to give away a full box. Did you win? You’ll have to listen to find out. We also dig into news this week from Revoltech, Gentle Giant, Funko and more. Finally, Star Wars Rebel wraps its first season on Monday. Who Will Fall? Who is Fulcrum? All this and more on Episode 53 of The Realm Recap!
Packaged samples of the upcoming 6″ Emperor Palpatine have started to hit eBay. It should only be a matter of time before preorders start getting filled and for them to hit retail in the US.
Tonight I swung by Wal-Mart, and questioned why I even waste my time there anymore. But to my surprise, I walked by the pallets and saw a fresh case of Wave 1 Rebels figures. Perhaps this is an isolated chance of dumb luck, but I’m sure we’ll be seeing other similar reports soon – so it may be worth your while to add Wal-Mart back to your occasional toy runs… because this toy run dry spell can’t last forever.
Entertainment Earth is now taking individual preorders for figures from wave 9 of the 6″ Black Series assortment. Order your IG-88, Leia as Boushh and Commander Cody today!
